Why do bodybuilders complain so much?
Why do bodybuilders complain so much? All I hear about is you guys complaining about the side affects of certain AAS. For example , bitching about joint pain while on cycle and blaming your AI for the pain..I'm sure it has nothing to do with benching 100+ extra lbs of weight..Yep, great logic. It's definitely your AI causing the pain. Also, I see some mother ****ers complaining about the taste of pre-workout/protein..You have got to be ****ing kidding me.. Please tell me more about how you expect your WHEY PROTEIN to taste good..or your PRE WORKOUT..Which is nothing but vitamins and unknown chemicals...And then when it does taste good, you bitch about the high amount of suguar.. There is no working with you ****s at all..constantly bitching about anything and everything..I thought bodybuilders were supposed to be tough, but Jesus Christ was I wrong...I'm sure you will all bitch about this thread too..please prove me wrong.

It's pretty straightforward, actually. Misuse/overuse can of AAS can lead to so many problems that you can't help but complain/ wonder what the h@ll is going on?
As far as aches/pains, that's a part of life that some people can't handle as well as others. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I'm going to have to agree with some of this.
But, I will say we get a huge amount of posers and wannabees that come here. They want to get ripped in 90 days, and they want everything sugar coated. I don't think this group is representative of the BB community to which you refer.
I've been eating/drinking nasty tasting shit for year. Just accept it, don't bitch about it.
I'm not a big fan of leg day, as I feel one day I'll end up crapping my pants when I'm hitting the weights hard
I'm not a big fan of cardio, but if I want to get my bf% down, something I must do
So, to a certain extent, I agree. It's a tough lifestyle. Either accept it or get the fvck out.

What if we said we were tired of people like you complaining about someone else complaining? Now what was your question ??

And can I complain about the those complaining about those complaining?
Side note, the way I make my shake it tastes better than ice cream, and yes there is a ton of sugar in it too!
And to still agree with the op, lets not be pussies. But TR is right, we get a ton of people that aren't "bodybuilders" with no experience doing some of the greatest amounts of complaining.

I'm no professional bodybuilder but this lifestyle is one I am dedicated to and always will be until I can't physically take it anymore. Also, I work out in a very serious, old-school powerlifting gym where big guys are a some a dozen.
Having said that I do not see many serious guys complaining about the lifestyle. The truly dedicated love it too much to let the negatives bother them. I love drinking less than palatable protein shakes, I don't mind my elbows and back aching, and I don't mind the hard work and dieting. If I did I wouldn't do it and there's no sense in complaining about something I choose willingly.
Even those that do complain, how is it hurting you? Some men need to complain to get stress off their shoulders. Just remember, complaints go up to those you look up to but never to those who look up to you.

I was at the gym yesterday. one of the younger males, maybe 23, good size although bf% is probably 18%, starts taking product out of his gym bag and displaying them on the floor. he pulls over a chair, and takes his time mixing his pwo shake, then some supps out of a new bottle.....? he had four or five bottles of shit out on display. It almost seemed like he was repping for someone, but it looked like GNC shit to me. I didn't get a close look, maybe it wasn't GNC. Some chic walks over and they start talking the virtues of this protein powder, how great it tastes, how she just ordered two bottles, blah blah blah. At least ten minutes this goes on for. And in front of the squat rack....
....so I'm thinking to myself, Ok, great. So when does everyone start working out?

I have less patience for simple things on cycle. I can't stand being on the phone with random stuff, banks, bills, etc. I'll immediately get annoyed. I notice I do tend to have a quicker level of aggression and more energy and harder working in gym. So I could see how that could translate into more complaining as well.

I think a lot of guys complain publicly as a way of indirectly bragging about how they lift.

This reminded me of this guy at the gym today. He was using dumb bells in front of a mirror that was by cable crossovers. So he was blocking the machine which could of been remedied by moving back a foot. Instead this guy sees me and says I only have one more set. I don't care how many sets you have it is totally inconsiderate to block another machine that you are not using when there is space to move out of the way. I am glad I don't pay for that gym.
We're complaining, right?
