People's views/perspectives of you before and after steroids?
Besides the "wow, you're huge" factor, did people give you more respect, or less, and how did you think of yourself?

Don't go bragging you're taking AAS. Nothing good will come from that. People comment that I'm jacked even though im not that big. Sometimes they ask what I take and I tell them food. They laugh and I say no seriously, ask my wife how much I eat.
-
11-03-2014, 03:11 PM #7
When people ask me if I take aas I just tell them thank you! They ask why? And I tell them that, I must be doing something right then, because I only eat right and train hard. Like said above nothing good will come from telling people,I just told my wife the other night for the first time. Before she would ask me what I was doing in the bathroom with the door locked, I told her I would tell her if she wanted me too but think its a better idea if I didn't, she said ok I trust you. And hat was that

Only one of my friends knows for sure. Others speculate I'm sure. My wife uses as well so we are in it together. We eat, train, juice together.

I started using with the support of my GF and my boss(juiced for years and a good friend of mine).
I told many people, mostly person who trains too, some that are just close friends which I see no point in lying.
I see it like nothing more than admitting smoking weed.
It is so common that most people will just not care...
Most who knows use also so they understand.
Other who train, see it like a choice
Nothing more, nothing less. Im not a bad person for that choice.
Those who knows that dont train, normally know me for years therefore they already know how training is important in my life so its just another step to my passion.
But once again Im young, im.not sure that most 40-50YO man/woman would react like the twenties...
With the importance that bodybuilding is taking with all the body image disorder, everyone wants to be big and shredded.(to a certain extent), but not everyone is ready to make the leap.
So when they see someone doing that leap, they dont care.Last edited by qscgugcsq; 11-03-2014 at 04:02 PM.

I think at 19 you have these kinds of questions. When your older you will feel more comfortable in decisions you make. My brother, my buddy, my dad and my wife know. Changed nothing in my personal relationships. But its not something I would go broadcasting around the gym.

I am taking your question differently than others, not sure how it was intended.
Getting in better shape whether you are taking steroids or not will give you more self confidence. Self confidence gets you respect and admiration of others male and female. I feel better about myself because I am eating better and trying to improve my health and my fitness level. Has nothing to do with steroids.
When you feel better about yourself, people take notice.

Yeah. More about what makes you feel good. I gained 25 pounds since my cycle and my sister didn't even notice...
Some people just aren't into muscles, or doesn't make a difference to them. Personality and confidence tend to be most important anyway in life.
If you're only concerned about looks or how you look you may wind up in the category of douchebag. No offense lol. But There's a lot of those , unfortunately who use AAS.

Respect is earned by strength of character, willingness to be a good friend and listener and having the ability to stand up for others in the face of adversity.
If you think being huge gets you respect you will never get it.
Contributing to the betterment of everything around you deserves respect.

don't know how its in the US, but here in spain its normal to take AAS. only a few people don't admit use. People normally admit use even on TV. even pólice officer admit use. Besides size, there were more things going on. The T-Jar, is IMO the second positive effect of AAS. Its like an aesthetic surgery for free. I always had an estrogen Jar, like a girl. now I have a much wider jar, I look more like a man, girls say, I look much better now.
And for the respect, yes people will respect you more. I mean, natty people will always respect you in your face, and talk shit about you behind your back.
But who cares, as long as they respect me in front of my eyes, its cool. I think, they act like that because they don't have enough test to tell things in your face.Last edited by XxAndreaxX; 11-04-2014 at 03:46 AM.

I've noticed I've gotten more haters now when I'm bigger than I did when I wasn't as jacked. Its always the people that are buddy-buddy to ur face then u hear em talk shit behind ur back from someone. These are usually the people that speculate ur on the sauce to make themselves feel better about their lack of gains, as I don't tell anyone about the juice.
Ironically they are right hahaha, gains on top of gainLast edited by Schwarzenegger; 11-04-2014 at 03:45 AM.

At my 10, 20 and 30th class reunion a lot of people commented that I still look great, in great shape because I have pretty much always worked out since I was about 14. Ive never been one of those do a cycle, start working out and then go back to bad habits after the cycle. It's a lifestyle trying to stay fit. Didnt do a cycle until about 5 years ago so it was all natural.

I hear ya. I have my 20th reunion in less than 2 weeks. I wasn't going to go but now I am because I know I will be in better shape than 99.9% of everyone. I was also SUPER skinny in High School. I actually graduated around 125lbs. I'm now over 200 so it will be funny to see what others say.

Yeah you will have fun. I had fun at each one even though I am not exactly outgoing and was never popular.
I use to be teased in high school that I would be bald by the time I was early 20. My 10yr reunion my hair was down to the middle of my back (rocker look, 80s) and most all the guys who teased me were 1/2 bald. By my 20 year most all the guys were bald and mine was pretty much the same as high school. I also had a better looking wife than most everyone, different wife at 10, 20 and 30. lol By far the best looking at my 30ths...
Yeah it's fun when you look at all the guys who are fat and out of shape but sad that so many of the girls who were very cute and in shape in high school had let themselves go so bad.

Seems most of the cool kids and tough guys never went anywhere after high school, got fat, bald, and not cool at all. I love seeing guys who used to pick on me back in school, the look on their faces when they recognize me is payback enough. Watching their eyes light up wondering if I am going to kick the shit out of them and trying to play down the fact they were arse holes and saying "we were just kids, it was a long time ago" it's priceless. I don't like to fight, or hold grudges, not worth the effort.

One of the vets here once said, and I paraphrase: "If people don't know you're on steroids , you're doing it wrong."

Yeaaahh hahaha that’s true!! I used to be the ugliest kid in school. I was playing with my computer and playstation, when my mates were dating girls. As I was 16, everyone had at least some kind of experience with a girl, except me. My first girl was when I was 21-22, after my first nose surgery.
My life changed completely, but I was still ugly. No real major changes until my 27years, when I started to cycle. My face changed, I got more surgeries, like my eyes, my theeths... When I look at the facebook profile of my school mates I shit on them haha, I’ve never seen them again, because I moved to spain, but all the cool guys and girls, now are the most ugly by far.
Ironically, many that were ugly, now are in a better shape.
Then, the one million question, why are you so obsessed with your body and appereance?? You are 29yo, you have an age where most of your mates have a family and don’t give a shit about you and aesthetics, they had their time of fun when they were younger, now they don’t need that anymore. Yeah, shure, but I still love it, to see the face expression of all that guy’s girlfriends. Looking at me, and then looking at their men.

An example of what I mean by respect is that I have (or had, I really don't know anymore) a friend who I lifted with for years off and on. He and I both used to say that no matter what we would stay natural, and we had a negative perspective towards people who used. Aka less respect. But after a while I realized that people's choices about what they put into their bodies is their own to make, especially when it is very unlikely that it will cause harm to others (no dui's causing traffic fatalities with steroids ). I also realized that my life is mine to live, not yours, not anyone's but mine. If I choose to use, then I will, and I no longer feel that that should lessen someone's view of me. If it does, I don't care. The problem I have with people who use is when they totally lie about using it, like in a natty show. That's bullshit.

The only people that will look at you negatively are the same ones that think if you take a few shots of test you will look like Brock Lesnar. They have no idea how much work goes into looking big and fit. Have to admit, I always thought taking test or whatever AAS you choose was the easy way to get huge. I had no fn' clue the kind of dedication it took.
paraphrasing a tweet I saw from the Rock- When was the last time you saw a hater that was doing better than you?

I never admit shit to no one.
people that know me also know to a certain extent I'm on TRT. but they also know I'm every day at the gym and my crazy diet. they are not sophisticated enough to really know. plus I have this rebound story of when I was fairly big, and I just say muscle memory and they seem ok with that.
the people at the gym comment. just yesterday. "you seem a lot bigger than just a couple of weeks ago." I tell them I just did a set that pumped me up, then I smile and tell them that in an hour, the pump will diminish like air in a balloon. like some kind of an ED joke. they seemed to buy it.
I never tell no one a damn thing.

well, that's cool I guess that his mom is open and doesn't seem to judge too much.
just not sure I'd tell my mom. MY mom would worry too much, and I wouldnt' want to put her through that. Plus then my dad would know. He's like Archie Bunker. His fukken ass was telling me early on as a teen ager that "you don't want to get too big else you will get muscle bound" what ever the hell that means. He was very much, and still is, an alpha male, and I suspect his telling me this was one way for him to remain top dog (he was a big man). Anyways, I believed that shit for a few years until I moved out and saw the world how it "really" is..........
