    First Cycle Check - Deca?

I know I haven't posted much, but I've spent a lot of time on the educational threads and info pages reading up on everything I could. Plus, I've talked with guys at the gym ab getting on a cycle so they've helped fill me in. Here is what I've come up with as per the literature as a great first cycle:

    Stats
    28yo 5'11" 235lb 15-18% bf Training for 10+ yrs

    Week 1-14
    500-600mg Test C/week
    Arimidex 0.25mg EOD
    HCG 500mg/week

    Week 15-18
    Clomid 100/50/50/50
    Nolva 40/40/20/20

    Questions:
How much of a difference, on average would a jump from 500mg to 600mg provide? Would it be worth it or is the difference probably not worth the extra amount?
Also, I posted in another thread ab adding deca for join health/problems as I have my fair shar in both shoulders. Would that be an option for a first-timer or just stick with the basics.

Note: I won't be starting this cycle until next year most likely, as I need to get my bf down a bit and under control.

    Thanks for any advice!

    Welcome to the boards.

To answer your questions, 500 and 600mg is not much difference, especially when using UGL gear. Probably best to keep it simple at 500 mg. With respect to deca, I would seek a non-steroid alternative for joint relief at this stage.

    Have a powerful day.

The difference in IGF-1 from 500 to the higher 600 test dose is in the 10% range where it pretty much caps out. Is there a noticeable difference in gains from 500 dose and 750? Of course. Testosterone is the precursor for every major glad in the body (directly or indirectly)

The point to take with you is everyone's body is different. You need to know how YOUR body reacts in sides to the elevated testosterone use. How quick does your HCT elevate? How does hypertension kick in due to increased Estrogen? Does your body like your AI or do you need to go a different direction? Every notch up from 500 is amplifying sides and if you dont know what your body does or the treatment it needs is....you are walking into a meat grinder.

Your first cycle is your baseline. Get a good understanding....there is always time for the next cycle if you are motivated to do that.

I was Primary Gonadal and lived with 0 testosterone for a minimum of 6 years more likely 10. My joints were dry and painful and it was not an optional but a necessity for me to use Deca. I used NPP and the dose I settled on was 300-400. After 10 weeks my joints were great and have not injected NPP since. I am getting heavier in weights lifted and will most likely need to use it again but for now...nope.

OK thanks for the info, I felt like keeping this first run as simple as possible. Sticking with 500 Test and no deca. I've had a lot of success with orals previously, hardly any sides at all. That added Test boost was great for me in all areas. Only thing was my blood pressure increased a bit.

Remember, testosterone in and of itself has anti-inflammatory properties. Keep it simple like the chick said above.

I'll check the stickies out, and also I'm new to the blood work aspect. Havent found the info on labs on the site yet, I just want to kno which lab tests I'm going to be looking at the closest and the reasoning behind them.
