Maintaining vascularity on or off of a cycle

This could be better suited for the diet thread, but this has the most traffic and I was curious what your guys' opinions were.

As far as remaining vascular year round (veiny) my top 3 most important aspects to consider IMO are
    1. Genetics
    2. Muscularity
    3. Leanness

    Also things to consider are:
    • Getting enough carbs (glycogen, large carb molecules in the blood stream)
    • Getting enough sodium
    • Eating frequently (Every 2-4 hours, also goes along with maintaining glycogen)
    • Training as hard as is possible-gains gains and mo gains=larger muscles=more blood to supply them

There are of course other things like supplements for the pump, but I am talking more about all day vascularity. What are your guys' opinions on how to maximize this whether on a cycle (with the added pump) or not? Thanks!

I only get crazy veins when on a cutting cycle when using tren. I will start the cutting diet a few weeks before the cycle in an effort to prime beforehand. Once I start to eat at a deficit my metabolism kicks in high gear and mid way through my cutting cycle I can switch and eat at maintenance and have reached my goal and enjoy looking like a roadmap. I always keep the veins running down my biceps to my forearms visible and use that as a barometer for getting fat. When I bulk on cycle or train in maintenance mode I try not to get caught up in losing some vascularity. I like to see all of the changes so it keeps me focused on fine tuning.

Just keep a low % bf throughout any kind of goals your trying to achieve and the veins will come out to play, its all down to diet and keep your sodium low aswell. You can also try some L-Arginine, Lysine, Citrulline and my favourite Cialis pre workout for that extra hard veiny pump look

PS, Kel does fuk all he is a natural lean cut fuker what looks like that year round.

Glycogen is not large carb molecules in the blood stream. Glycogen is a storage form of glucose used for energy when blood glucose levels drop.

Larger muscles don't mean more blood to supply them. Exercise can increase blood flow to the muscles yes but doesn't mean your body creates more blood when your muscle mass increases.

Eating frequently has almost nothing to do with vascularity. As was mentioned, maintaining a low bodyfat and use of vasodilators will help.

Hey doc, when I said glycogen, large carb molecules in the bloodstream, I was referring to two separate things. I know their not the same. Thank you though. Eating frequently has improved my vascularity. I used to literally eat nothing until 6 pm at night (intense fasting) and I had absolutely no pump at all. Being more muscular doesn't mean more blood, but there is more muscle that needs that supply. More muscularity will most def help with vascularity imho. Thank you for your input.

I'll gladly trade some vascularity for more size......just pick the veins you want.

Ok, not that old but older than you. Haven't competed in decades but may next year. Has nothing to do with vascularity though for me. It's always just there.

BF% is my main factor for vascularity. When I take creatine I notice a bit more in my forearms.

How come Cialis help with this? I almost thought it would be the other way around since Cialis lower BP, and i think high BP gets some veins to show. Or im a wrong?

The drop in blood pressure was barely measurable. On a low daily dose.

Increases blood flow. Makes your veins physically larger (which is what lowers the bp). Pretty cool drug. Other perks as well

Could you use Cialis as a pre workout on a first cycle?

You should try to convince Marcus that I would benefit from Cialis as well

Akog, trust me man you don't want to get on cialis.

I'm 29, I only take 5 mg a day (most are taking 5 mg twice a day) and I walk around with a hard on more then when I was a teenager. It's actually a bit aggravating

Wouldn't do anything for vascularity at that point. Go with arginine. I'm probably going to switch to that
