Can fast do i jab it in?

For glute injections for first timers, how do you think i should inject? I have a 1 1/2 inch needle. Should i dart it in or pierce through a little slower?

For IM pins inject at a steady rate - do not stab as you would a sub q. If in doubt watch some youtube vids - theres loads of help out there.

I prefer to go slowly. When you pin yourself u can feel everything as you do it. I get why nurses dart its just one swift motion to injection spot regardless of whats in the way.

I would say go slow personally

I personally do not like going slow. I relax my glute and use the weight of the syringe to hit it at a speed that goes all the way in during one motion. When I screw up and only go an inch in or so, I sometimes would inadvertently tighten my glute, then when pressing it in the rest of the way would feel it tearing through the muscle instead of just going in smoothly. When you get used to it, you will find it easy to get it right. Good luck!

Always go slow, going fast will lead to a few things happening,

1. Hitting a vein at full throttle, hurts like a bitch
2. Hitting a nerve at full throttle, hurts like a bitch
3. jabbing yourself with a foreign object at full throttle, hurts like a bitch

Alright i did it, i was so nervous but i didn't feel a thing, i could feel it abit when injecting it in, took about 15 seconds.

The needles are so thin and sharp doing it slowly just makes sense man, being in control with something like this is very important, you aspirated and everything as well I hope?

slap your quad, bang it in there, when you hit bone, then back it off a bit. try not to bend the needle when it hits bone. that little hook needle tip can be a bitch when you extract the needle, like a fish hook.

I push it slow and steady with 22gage, 1 1/2inchs pin.. The oil is out and in faster. Pips are at a minimum.

I inject slowly always have always will. Works for me.
