Am I doing it right?

Was wondering if anyone else has had issues while injecting themselves. First time using steroids . I'm doing EQ along with some Test E. I first gave myself a injection in the glut which caused for some real bad discomfort along with some swelling. I've changes to the outer thigh are now for my injections. Also have had a lot of soreness and discomfort which has been affecting my training. Is it suppose to feel this way or am I doing something wrong. Been using oil base liquids with 22g 1 1/2 long needles.

There is a lot that can cause it, but as cycle goes on pinning will become second nature.
