Can I get away with one-year training?
So like, Austinite, who I assume is probably the most respected member of this forum, wrote that all who want to run their first cycle should have at least 2 years of training so that a strong foundation is ensured.
But like, I've been lifting on and off for a total of 12 months, but less than 24 months. I had impressive natural stats during my "prime", as I call it, back when I was in my late teens. But ever since then it's been a getting-back-to-it mode.
Assuming that I start training "properly" again for 12 months and ended up with impressive stats, like a 505-pound squat and a 315-pound bench press, can I just call it quits and start cycling? I mean, obviously if I had such stats with like a less than 220-pound bodyweight, I can already be considered as someone with a strong foundation, right? Or is there no exception to the 2-year-minimum rule?
I can honestly see myself exceeding my prime teenage stats even if those natural high test days are gone forever, in less than a year.
Thanks in advance.

Also, I'd like everyone to treat this as a general question aimed at getting a general answer, instead of like focusing only on me. I wanna know if the two-year-rule is as important as having an 800-pound full squat in order to have a 600-pound clean+jerk. Something like that. Or something more like, it takes at least X years to be X big.
Thanks in advance.

Everyone is different so is every situation
I was at the gym for 2 months before I hit the sauce

There's reasons that apply concerning the amount of training time before someone starts steroids . The more conditioned the better. The stronger and I'm talking about the amount of stress your ligaments and tendons are prepared for the better. It sucks to start a cycle just to get all ramped up and about 8 wks in boom you got injuries that rob you of precious gym time and steal away your hard earned gains. Be prepared before you hop this fence.

Hi, you seem to be "majoring in the minors" a 2 or 1 year strength and conditioning plan is not set in stone. If you read all of these..Austinite's Educational Article Database This underlines for you a well thought out plan with less risk and a greater potential for success. Basically, don't take shortcuts that will make it harder on you, your body and overall health. First, get your strength and gains using the fundamentals and build a solid foundation. AAS: Things to consider before starting a first cycle (Great Read) You will ultimately be the one who decides when to supplement. Cheers!

Only you know your body. But juice to soon and you'll wind up injured with your training suffering and your hard earned money and time wasted.

If u have been playing around like a punk in the gym and without serious diet etc then its big no. Ive seen to many youngsters with no patience and plan jumping into steroids and ending up in the arms of criminality or mental care. Choose wisely...altho its difficult when you are young and naive.
