Does hair loss acceleration slow down once you have stopped the cycle?

Assuming someone is prone to hair loss, and the hair loss process starts accelerating while on cycle -- will the "acceleration" go back to the normal rate once natural hormones have gone back to normal once the cycle is complete?

    thanks.
