No, it means you probably don't have anavar .

Are you taking any liver support?

Anavar is a relatively mild oral but it can still have a dramatic effect on liver values. Here's an excerpt from a study regarding burn patients and liver values while on avavar:

A possible concern associated with oxandrolone administration is an increase in liver enzymes, a phenomenon that has been described also by other groups.22,50 During our study period, oxandrolone significantly increased serum AST and ALT, which occurred 2 to 3 weeks after oxandrolone treatment was started. Serum AST and ALT are normally considered markers for hepatic damage, and therefore, one may suggest that oxandrolone cause some degree of liver damage; however, we further showed that oxandrolone decreased hepatic acute phase protein concentration whereas it increased constitutive hepatic protein concentration. This indicates an improved hepatic homeostasis and protein production by the liver. This finding was also shown by Thomas and colleagues.51 We also showed that liver size and weight was not significantly different between controls and oxandrolone patients, which indicates that oxandrolone did not cause hepatomegaly. It furthermore appears that oxandrolone did not cause major hepatic damage. We measured serum IGF-I, IGFBP-3, and GH, all of which are mainly synthesized in the liver52 and found no significant difference between controls and oxandrolone-treated patients. These data indicate that liver function maintains intact with the use of oxandrolone, but we suggest that the elevation of liver enzymes should be monitored during the treatment period with oxandrolone.

What are your stats Saris and are you running anavar by itself?

If this is your first time you should consider dropping your dose down to 5mg daily and no more than 10mg.

Get NAC for your liver, 600mg dialy.

Your AST and ALT are grossly elevated (like in chronic alcoholics and/or those with hepatitis flare ups), as is your creatine kinase. CK is a marker for muscle and organ damage.

Either you're taking something MUCH harsher than Var (like methyltren), or you're extremely sensitive to it's hepatotoxic effects for some reason and should avoid all AAS if you want to keep your liver. Either way, please stop taking it.

    Please don't overlook my advice.
Your liver enzymes are not normal, even for heavy oral steroid abusers.

Sure. You're 7 times higher than normal. But We've seen much worse. That doesn't mean you're in the clear, though... You certainly should seek help. I still recommend NAC right away.

I also agree. My liver values have never been that high, even while on a decent dose of dianabol . Definitely much to high for a small amount of anavar after 8 days. Something else is up. And yes NAC is excellent. I take one in the am and one in the pm daily. 1200mgs a day. Good luck, and keep us posted on what is up with h your values.

Really? I sure haven't, apart from ICU patients dying of ischemic organ failure with AST and ALT over 1000...

Most of us barely hit triple digits with extended use of harsher orals, and this girl is way beyond that from just a week of Var.

Continuing would be madness, OP. There is something very wrong with your liver and/or the drugs you're taking. A bit of NAC won't protect you in this case (and I'm a huge proponent of NAC).

    Sure you have.

Anyway, Not sure why you're panicking. She was advised to seek professional help, twice. Hopefully she will do so. No sense in scaring the heck out of the poor girl. ANY physician will point her in the right direction when they see her CMP. The comparison to dying patients with over 1000 AST/ALT is , well, just mind-boggling. Not sure what to say to that..............................

My issue was that you seemed to be downplaying the seriousness here by saying that "we've seen worse". I legitimately have not seen worse bloodwork on the boards caused by AAS. The only bloodwork I've seen that was considerably worse is that of the patients I mentioned. Admittedly, I don't go around checking the lab results of every alcoholic I come across...
And yeah, she does need the heck scared out of her if she thinks it safe to continue just by lowering the dose and taking some NAC.

Alright. Keep in mind that there are 1000's of personalities on the board and not everyone will deliver a response that is "acceptable" by Bonaparte (or whomever). You gave your advice, I gave mine. No harm was really done here.

Unless you have further advice for OP, Let it go.

    Have a powerful day

One thing I did not see in the above post/suggestions is to drink plenty of water, I mean more than normal to help keep your system flushed out and clean your liver and kidneys.

If it was me I would stop the anavar at least for a while until my liver enzymes got down to normal and keep taking the NAC before starting up at a lower dose as suggested by Austinite but either way it's up to you. I dont think taking at least a few days off would hurt anything and could do a lot of good.

This is a test used on burn victims that have hypermetabolism.....

and the end result was it INCREASED testosterone level.....

So this study refutes that using Anavar shuts down HPTA....

So maybe right horse wrong stall for this study. This should be posted on all the threads about Anavar shutting down HPTA.

Also due to it says right in the text that these people had aincorrect HPTA due to the hypermetabolic response to the burns..

SO the question that begs to be asked....is the OP a burn victim :P

PS...also states in the text these people are on Anavar for EIGHT YEARS.

Have you been tested for hepatitis? If not I would advise you to.

Your liver values extremely elevated and you should follow Bonaparte advice and stop taking everything and go see a doctor.
Also follow Austenite and start taking NAC.

In my opinion 8 days of low dose anavar would not elevate your hepatic enzymes by 10 fold, thats why I asked about hepatitis.

Your lack of symptons are normal. Liver disease is silent. You can only start having symptoms when hepatic necrosis starts setting in.

    Plz take care of yourself.

I have to agree with just about everyone here. I didn't put this comment these last few days, simply because I am sure you won't do it, or listen. You are extremely wreck less to continue taking anavar . And my first thought also was hepatitis, but I didn't want to scare you.

From reading your posts and your lack of concern for your condition, it would very much not surprise me if that is in fact the case. This will be my final post in here. Good luck.

Hi all!! Im back!! Lol I have to tell you guys the updated!! First thank u all!! Well idk how to start! I stopped the anavar ! Then I did my labs again on wednesday!! And guess what ?? They were more higher! Soo I did and liver ultrasound to see if liver was big any damage.. They told me only 3 reason make those values soo high 1 hepatitis 2 liver complete damage 3 a lab herror .. So they said is so weird that ur here whith those values without any symptom at all. No pain no vomit urine clear.. No fatigue.. Ect etc .. So ultrasound show liver with perfect measures no damages clear liver..so at the end they did a complete hepatitis panel, suppostly with those values is like to have hepatitis.. Can u imagine guys how i was freaking out...!! Hoo well labs came back!! No hepatitis A B C.... Ufff what a relief I have to tell them the truth about anavar.. So conclusion is that anavar due that... Like one if u guys mentioned in an article oral steroids can affect liver function test reading, however these function test reading will return to normal aftee a short term steriod cycle!! Hahaha im so happy im not gonna die!! U guys freak me out!! Anyways im still taking my NAC!! I cant wait for ur responses!!
