    20 year old considering steroids

Hey guys I'm 20 years old and have been lifting on and off for 3 years. When I'm lifting I have a serious routine and diet. The only reason why I have to stop is because of injury.

I was taking hgh a few months back. That along with a dental guard my old orthodontist gave me caused tmj disorder. The orthodontist told me to bite into the guard to build up my jaw muscles. Anyway now I have an awful teeth grinding problem and headaches everyday

Despite all of this I have been working my ass off in the gym and am now 190 at 5'8. However recently I tweaked my neck and I am out of the gym again. I've been taking flexeril and naproxen so that I can sleep but I am already losing weight and muscle so now I look skinny fat.

I hate being so small and at my height I need to weightlift to feel normal. I was also working out to some good lifts. I had a 305 bench and 475 pound squat.

Thinking of going on roids when I get back just to make up on lost gains from taking the time off. What do you guys think?

    No cause your too young

No cause your skinny fat and need to diet and train consistently.

You have been training on and off for 3 years which tells me
you wont have a solid base as does the fact you are skinny fat.

You state you keep stopping due to injury well this is also a reason not to cycle.

So taking all of the above into consideration give it another year or too.

Sounds like you had some bad luck. The hgh was probably fake so I wouldn't worry to much about that but regards to cycling at your age I would advise you against.
There isn't an exact age were we all stop developing and growing because this is determined by our genes and DNA, we are all genetically programmed individually and we inherit our genes from our parents. To give an exact age we stop growing would be incorrect because everyone's genetic blueprint is different. The main development of our bodies is up to the age of 21yrs of age but this can vary between individuals. There are parts of our bodies what carry on developing and adjusting slowly up until the age of 25yrs old, an example of this is the brain. The Endocrine system is a part of the brain what is very complex and keeps our bodies in a homeostasis state. Our testosterone levels start raising and roughly peak around 25yrs old and then start to slowly decline, so even though some of us may have stopped growing at the age of 21yrs old, others may still be developing up until the age of 25yrs old.

I have recently spoken to my Endo regarding this matter and he tells me that the HPTA is very sensitive and as many pathways how it regulates the human body, he states steroids disrupt the normal balance of hormones in the body which can cause reversible and irreversible changes at any age but risks are far more if you administrate exogenous androgens during development, this will put you in a very unnatural environment at a crucial time and your hormones should be treated with care especially in the early stages of maturity. The adverse effects can be erratic behaviour of the HPTA and potentially therapy when your older.

I did ask him what age he would think would be the safest as far as risk to damages and he said many endocrinologist suggest full maturation is reached by 25 years of age and this would also give the HPTA time to be established with your natural hormone balance and patterns. I personally feel 24-25yrs old would also be ideal starting point to get bloodwrok drawn to see exact what your natural levels are before starting any kind of cycles and waiting till you have reach your testosterone peak would be a good starting point, for me there is to much evidence over the forums and what I've seen personally over the last 25yrs I've been bodybuilding. Obviously it isn't going to be all 19- 21yr old bodybuilders who suffer side effects what are irreversible but I am edging on the side of caution what age I advice to the newbies.

I would wait brother. I've been off and on this forum for a while. I'm 32 now and glad I waited 'til now to get serious about this.

dude your r so irisponsible I cycled young to I have goals to reach and cycling is inevitable for what I plan on doing i know the risk but the difference between you is your uneducated decisions to tell this individual it's ok it's not ok there serios complications and risks I have completely accepted the fact I'll most likely end up on trt maby you or I might never have problems but that a very low chance seeing as what we have chose to do aND to neglect the fact that these things will never happen to you shows your true age and maturity . so I please ask altho you do cycle and maby healthy now this board is for education and safe cycling not telling everyone ya bro 1000mg/tren a week first cycle I did it you'll be good nuthing will happen .instead of having that attitude and giving advice like that tell them health risks long term and short term and then state why you chose to do what you did and how it effected you instead of acting like the outcome of your steroid use would be the same as every other 19 year old In the world because it's not you can do one cycle and never produce test again

^^^^ nice brother! I just posted the same thing after one of his immature posts! Clearly there can be exceptions(that's all) there nothing safe from cycling at your age/that age! So STOP encouraging newbs to cycle!

Plus your sexuality based on your other threads says your asexual... So people(most) aren't so b/c you don't find sex fun or interesting or whatever the case is, which is(totally fine) but don't steer them in the wrong direction!

OP, the consensus across the board is to wait. You're physically too young, uninformed and inconsistent in diet or training to truly benefit from steroid use . Not giving you a hard time, just trying to help by sparing you the BS.

Zeus009, you'll go farther in life once you stop saying "bro" & "brah".

Ah man you guys are definitely right the drawbacks are not worth it. I am just getting frustrated because I have potential. Just sick of getting injured all the time. If I lifted 3 years straight then I would be in a good spot now.

This was me last month I know I'm kind of fat but with 20 pounds more I would look good.

I guess I need to hit up the training advice to accommodate my injury concerns. Overhead press and dumbbell overhead press make my neck flare up.
