Unfortunately if you are prone to losing your hair, steroids will probably expedite the process. I am 45 and have done steroids for decades and still have my hair. But I have friends who lost much of their hair years ago and never touched steroids.

My first and only cycle was tren, T4 and an oral steroid. Don't remember for sure the name of it but it's starts with an "A"

I don't remember anybody in my family had any hair loss but I know for sure none of them took steroids. What I'm wondering is if I start cycling and notice my hair thinning and just stop using steroids, will it also stop thinning

There are NO guarantees. Do you know if you are genetically pre disposed to hairless? If no then you will most likely be ok. If yes then it will possibly accelerate the process sooner. Shampoos may help or they may not, no one can say for certain how you will react.
