anybody ever notice when injecting in the quad its a little difficult to push in and the needle starts to back out and when finished the needle pops out like the oil pushes it out. does this mean im not in the muscle i use the 1 inch for quads. a tiny bit of needle shows because when im almost all the way in i get a slight pinch feeling so i just leave a tine bit of the needle showing. plus i always get pretty shitty pip just from only test though

Is your leg really relaxed ? Weird though should still not be coming out on it's own.

Do you only pin that spot or do you have other sites you use?

i use glutes and quads it doesn't come all the way out on its own. i have to hold the needle down its like the pressure of the oil start to back it out. with the glutes all get 3/4 the way in and then i get to where i have give a firm press to where i know i hit the muscle. i don't get that with the quad it just sinks in. with quads i sit on wooden chair in my kitchen, should i do with the legs extended?

That sounds like bad scar tissue... From not rotating between 6 sites(for as long as you've been on) I still don't quite get the pressure pushing the pin back out(however much it may be)... Or you can have them hanging off of something higher to ensure your relaxed...
But try pinning delts/tris/or chest if you need other sites...

I agree with Nach. 2-4 sites for a 6 month and counting cycle and you're begging for scar tissue.

Ok yeah you'd be fine w/a 1" but try not to go to glutes for a while! If you hear a crunching noise when the spike is entering thru your skin and into the fascia(and you hear or feel this sensation) then you have quite a bit of scar tissue
Glutes/would be the only thing at your present bf to maybe go w/1.5" pin(but try and stay away from them)

I have been pinning delts, I kind of like it. One of these days I'm gonna nut up and try the quad or hip, I would like a better anbgle and visibility than glutes or delts give me.
On those needles sunk in to the hilt, I had a guy tell me one time it was good to leave a little sticking out, just in case the needle broke off for whatever reason you could pull it out yourself relatively easily. I've never heard of that happening, but the thought of having to go to the ER to have a needle removed is not pleasant, so I have been doing that lately. If it's a 1' needle in the delt, i'll leave about 1/4 inch out for that reason.
Could be nonsense

I've never pinned in my delts, just for the simple fact that I'm a pussy and won't do them on my own lol but I rotate both quads and glutes. When measuring where to inject, I place the base of my palm on my hip bone and let my hand fall straight down the length of the side of my outer quad, and I pin roughly an inch or so off the tip of my middle finger. I use 1" pins for the quad and 1.5" for the glute, 25g everytime. I realize this method may not be accurate for everone because obviously everyone's fingers and hands are different sizes, but it's a method that I've done since I started using my quads and it's always worked with little to no issues. As far as the pushing out issue... it sounds like scar tissue, as someone else said I believe. I have some tissue built up in my glutes and seem to have that problem when I pin in the over-used spots. Try varying the angle/exact spot you inject in next time (unless you already have) in which case, I'm not sure what to tell you buddy. Hope I could help.

With enough experience you just memorize the veins in your quads, and know exactly where to pin.
Glutes you flex the glutes, and in pin the upper meaty glute (gluteus medius).
