PIP in quads only - too vascular ?

Training had to take a back seat for a couple of days this week due to dead legs, swollen and could not walk, it was not an allergic reaction as i put some in my butt three days earlier and no reaction, so I cant have pinned badly on both quads and perfect in my butt, so i do stop pinning quads ? I mentioned being too vascular and hitting veins because someone mentioned it in my wheels to beat Kel Kel thread

What size spike you using? I doubt to vascular(unless your using to long of a pin?... However being you have more veins in quads could be easier to nick something but not dead leg... It happens(what's your BA content and concentration? Inject to fast?

Your symptoms sound pretty severe to just be pip. In two cycles I have only ever pinned quads and have never had an issue other than soreness from injecting in the same spot too often. I do it all over the quad as well.

I've had similar reaction in a quad injection because I was following the how to pin quads video.

Where are you pinning on your quads?

a buddy told me of a better location and its been pain free ever since.

Pin higher, on the other quarter side in that softer muscle about where a pocket is in a pair of jeans.

Take thumb and place it on hip bone then stretch your hand down to the upper outer part of the quad, that's about where I pin pain free.

Heres a pic: Click image for larger version.

Is the muscle completely relaxed, like floppy relaxed? I find that that makes a big difference.
I do glutes while standing, but quads sitting on the edge of my bed, leg hanging loose...

Blue 23G x 1 1/4", but its not even going half way in, the other problem is that my muscles seem to have scar tissue which is making the pin hard to push into the muscle

It was just like an allergic reaction, but it was the last ml of the vial, Its like I'm getting worse at pinning lol

Try along the jean leg seam if that makes sense? Pretty much right on the side of your leg about a hand leg down from your hip. Best place I have found, I can't do glutes.

How often are you rotating sites?? It sounds like scar tissue... I'd move to delts or if your glutes are g2g - tris also for me! Sounds like it's been used a lot... Are you pinning(eod or 2x wk)

I am pinning twice a week now, but the long cycle I just finished was ed for about forty weeks, at least I can push needles in now, I was thinking I had a blunt batch. I'll try and stick to delts and lats for a month

Yeah your other sites need a break! I pin ed too(w/prop) and I've heard w/competitors and such - when needed to hide inj sites - they've come across this situation - and no matter what at that point your probably gonna bleed or draw blood(when aspirating) more often b/c of over use... Especially if your muscle is pushing it out too(it's crunchy when entering right?! - scar tissue

Delts lats tris your good brother - just give em a rest

I like delts, lats are a bit trickier, gotta get em low down by where the sweep starts or I end up twitching. I'm tempted to try pecs, they are in full view and easy to reach

I used to alternate quads and pecs, for the exact reason you said. It's in full view. I can use both hands easily and don't have to twist into an awkward position to reach it!
