PCT - Doc/Blood Work Recommended to be safe?

I am 8 weeks into my first cycle doing 250mg test cyp per week, planning on bumping up to 500mg, divided into two pins of 250 for the last 8 weeks. I'm also using HCG once a week.

I'm planning to start PCT after 18 weeks with standard PCT regiment. I'm wondering how many people would recommend a health professional for going off? Just to be safe and do blood work and make sure everything are balanced out. Is my friend being overly cautious?

18 weeks for first cycle? Thats not a recommended protocol, it can be hard to recover from such a long one.

Thanks for pointing that out, I'll be doing 12 then.

You should be doing bloodwork regardless. Before during and after. 16wks is also on the long side for a first cycle. Stick to 12 and see how well your body bounces back.

I know ium gonna get bashed but... I have only myself to blame for not doing enough research beforehand and getting preliminary blood tests done. To be honest I could say my friend only told me the pros while leaving out the important details about HTPA and impotence. I should have researched myself first though, it took me a while before I found this awesome forum. It won't happen again, I'm being very thorough.

I'm just wondering since I wasn't able to get baseline scores, I should still get blood work to make sure im back in the mornal range and estrogen isn't all messed up? My friend kinda led me on, he is on TRT and tried to advocate for me to do the same since I have an annoying injury and I felt my testosterone was suffering. I am not ready to commit to lifelong TRT yet though, so I'm having to get this PCT going a little late.

Where is a good/cheap place to get blood work done as an alternative to a doctor office? Any good websites?
