adderall and muscle soreness
Received an adderall prescription, posted another thread about cycling while on it.
Otherwise curious if you guys have any muscle soreness solutions besides taurine, citrulline.
I usually take 5 to 6 days, and then take sundays off. By day 5 or 6, my lower back pain is nearly unbearable. I had to go home and foam roll in the middle of the my weekend last saturday, it was just too much.
Any pointers?

What does adderall have to do with your back pain?

Back pain, muscle aches, joint pain, etc. are all fairly common side effects of Adderall and similar medications.
The main reasons this occurs is because of dehydration (it can be nearly impossible for some people to keep up/get ahead of this with fluids), as well as the fact that Adderall is a potent CNS stimulant. Whether they know it or not, people on Adderall will often tense up quite a bit. After hours and hours of muscles constantly firing (along with being dehydrated), muscle pain can be tough to avoid.

I take Adderal and have for a couple years. I skip some days here and there and only take maybe a full pill a day 40mg each. I have never noticed anything like what your describing in terms of soreness. I am always careful to drink a lot of water and keep a multi vitamin on daily basis because Adderal can make you grit your teeth without knowing it or perhaps tensing your back up as well?

I think the extended release capsules you can get of adderall have less sides in the way of muscle soreness and dehydration. Because they release a steady amount of amphetamine into the blood throughout the entire day making it less difficult to manage sides.

Avoid Amps at any cost
They will tear you up over time - no matter how hard you try to control them
