    first time clen user

I'm in the middle of my first two week clen cycle, I'm using it to try to break a fat loss plateau. I started with 40 mg increasing every day by 20 mg, I didn't notice anything until yesterday, when I hit the 160 mg mark. I've been checking my temperature, blood pressure and heart rate several times a day, every day. Yesterday was the first day I noticed any increase in heart rate or blood pressure, my blood pressure has always been below the normal level about 105/70, today it was 118/85, my testing hr is usually about 65 bpm , today it was 85 - 90. I'm not sure if I have lost much bf yet, but it seems like I have lost about a half a percent, according to my body composition scale, which I know are not the most accurate method of measuring bf, but I think they are good for seeing trends.

So my question is, is clen an on/off drug, meaning for me 140 mg isn't noticed and effects are negligible vs 160 and the physical affects are noticeable and the fat burning is also noticeable?

More is not always better. Also I'm pretty sure ppl do 2 weeks on. Then 2 weeks off.

I never took clen. I ECA stack always worked just fine for me and never needed clen. But I here that it does wonders! Good luck

There are two sides to this. There are the 2 on 2 off and there is the consistant use. The one thing that everyone agrees on is that your body gets accustomed to the dosage. Some feel that the 2 on 2 off is better and others feel that you need to gradually increase the dosage to be effective. I kept on constant during the cycle time however did not have a baseline to compare to.

BP of 118/85 isn't bad especially while on clen, prehypertension is 120-139/80-89.

I'm assuming that you're taking 160 µg not mg. For clen to work properly as a thermogenic you need to take enough to stimulate β2 receptors. You more or less keep gradually increasing the dose as long as the side effects are tolerable. That should be a decent dose because I take at least 200 µg/day.

Continuous use of a β2 agonist will up regulate receptors. In order to counteract this you can follow 73rr's advise and do 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. Another option is to take 1 mg/day of ketotifen. Using this technique one can successfully use clen for several weeks.

You should also be supplementing taurine while taking clen. Clen depletes taurine levels in the liver which may slow down the conversion of t4 to t3, resulting in a loss of progress and/or cramps.

Lastly, clen is not a miracle compound. If you want to see favorable results you need to concentrate on diet and exercise. Clen is only the icing on the cake.

how long have you been using it? While I was on clen I was sweating like a pig all day long, my heatrate would go through the roof from working out, and I would get jitters like alzheimers. Once you get those effects, then you take it down just a little bit and keep it there. After 2 weeks you take 2 weeks off as the rest of the guys stated so your body can , so to speak, be less used to the drug. So when you start again you can taper up from lower doses and repeat. You wont see crazy noticeable fat burning results from clen. it increases your heart rate and temperature just as any stimulant would, except its stronger. If your diet isnt in check you can take all the stims you want and it wont matter. I personally didnt like clen..very overrated drug for the average joe shmoe (not that I am saying you are one).

160 is a hefty dose though...how long did u use the clen to not be able to see effects at 140mcg anymore??

Just to add to the great posts above...

Clenbuterol has a potentially negative effect on myocardium structure and promotes cardiac hypertrophy if routinely used for extensive periods of time. Also, there is documented dose-dependent induction of myocyte apoptosis and necrosis mediated by the β2-adreneric agonist that could possibly lead to cardiomyopathy or at the bare minimum diminished function in it's effective contractile activities if one were to partake in prolonged exposure without proper supplementation. That's where taurine is vitally essential. It's pronounced osmoregulatory activities help balance and mitigate the threshold for abnormal cell volumization. Myocyte's taurine concentration is rapidly depleted in the instance of osmotic stress and without having an adequate intake to replenish myocardium storages, you would only be an enabler in the apoptopic/necrotic progression of myocytes.

Clenbuterol has anabolic effects, but they are only dependent upon β2-receptor population. Our heart's β2 receptor affinity is rather pronounced and thus is a favorable target for growth. I can't remember exactly, but the left ventricle hypertrophy has been a known culprit with β2 receptor agonist misuse.

I've been using it for 8 days now, I never noticed and effects at 140. I didn't notice anything until I hit the 160 mark.

I wouldn't go over 140 mcg if I were you. I tolerate Clen extremely well and barely get sides at a dose of 140, but I feel that it would be dangerous to go higher than that-- we can't forget that Clen affects our hearts (which is sort of important...).

finding a baseline body temperature before starting clen is beneficial so that when your on it, it gives you some feedback as to if its being effective or not when you take your temperature again regardless of dose...what I mean is if you get a temp spike after administration it means its working whether you "feel" it or not so you know not to keep upping your dose before its necessary....good luck...

Dang bro., you're my hero! On my first clen cycle I started with 40mcg the first day and I did not sleep for 38 hours! Seriously, no sleep for a day and a half. I worked slowly up to 100mcg and I would sit in front of my computer at work with cold sweat dripping down my back. I couldn't pee straight 'cause my hand would shake so bad. LOL Yes, prolonged use of clen will saturate the Beta receptors. Just take Keto every night and clen during the day. Keto will reset the Beta receptors so you can run clen continuously. I've never run albuterol but I have read that its got more tolerable sides. When you start cramping with clen, take 5g of taurine everyday. Clen is pretty harsh stuff but it works awesome.

Well I think I have a high tolerance for stimulants, when I take caffeine I don't notice much until I hit the 300-400 mg mark, and I take that every 5 hours to keep the burn going. I've been trying to break this plateau for a few months and nothing I do seems to be breaking it, so I thought I would try clen I have read it works pretty good for some people.
