You're taking 70mg/wk TRT and you have very low Total T and low Free T? Free T's the stuff you want. Total T just tells you how much T you have but Free T can bind with receptors and do the work of building muscles. My feeling is that 70mg/wk is not enough Test as your TRT dose. I would go to 150mg/wk and see how it affects the Total/Free T numbers. My buddy's on 200mg/wk and his numbers are in the middle of the "normal" range. He needs to take 250mg/wk to get his numbers into the top 1/3 of the "normal" range. I'm o 150mg/wk and my T numbers are in the upper 1/3 of the chart. Each of us is different so you need to "tune" in your dosage.

SHBG is best mid-range. Like DD said, if TT is low yet FT is high no doubt it's due to low shbg. Know that as we age shbg rises. Elevated shbg can be associated with metabolic syndrome and other issues. Do some google searches or check on PubMed and read up on it.

Did you test thyroid too? Hypothyroidism can cause low shbg.
