I've been on T3 since May 2015. Have I screwed my thyroid gland for good?

Hello guys,

I've been taking T3 for quite some time now (since May).

I recently stopped. I'm feeling like shit (depressed, constipated, gaining weight). I know this is normal when I withdraw t3 but I'm worried since I've been on it for 7 months that it won't ever get back to normal.

How much time does it need to return back to normal if it is possible?

Your thyroids are amazingly resilient. I was on T4 for over 6 years and when I got off, my thyroids were back to normal within a couple of months. Give yourself time, you'll be fine.
