Bump
Nobody understands your question.
What do you mean??
How fast you do reps? Being on cycle has nothing todo with this.
Hi BB, sorry for making it confusing
Rep speed for Maximum Hyprotrophy really matters when you are going natural to breakdown muscle tissues, when on cycle you get an extra strength which natural is not possible, muslce tissues breakdown and recovery is faster so will it really matter how slow or how fast you go?
Disagree.
You want to rep as slow as possible, specially in the negative phase.
Same here. A 4-2-4 tempo will nicely hit all 3 types of strength (positive, static, and negative) and is great for increasing time under tension.
Some guys (myself included) even add in cheat reps with slow negatives after they are burnt on the positive portion of the exercise simply because for most people, the negative portion is where they are the strongest. This can be done on some exercises without a spotter if you lift at home (again, myself included). For me, most cheat reps are done with dumbbells after I'm too exhausted to perform a rep with proper, strict, form.
If you are fortunate enough to have a good spotter/training partner, you can get into forced reps, and forced negatives as well.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
