Am I F*UCKED??
I'm a week into my Prop cycle. I've been drawing the test into the barrel then running the barrel under hot water to warm up the oil and reduce PIP. It's been working but after today's injection, I noticed black streaks in the bottom of the barrel. The hot water must have damaged or even melted to rubber plunger!!
Did I just inject rubber into my muscle? Bigger question: AM I ****ED??
Any help, advice or experience would be much appreciated.
Thanks
QB

Most syringes use a TPE based plunger.
TPE has a service range from -50 to +125°C.
The streaks in your barrel are probably from one of the solvents (likely EO or BA).
I've had the same thing happen to me when using prop.
After filling the syringe don't let it sit around or warm up the oil, just pin.

R u reusing the same barrel? Have to ask?
Why not warm the vial/amp then draw?

No, I'm not reusing barrel. One time only then discard. I should just warm vial, thought it would stay warm longer if I heated the barrel then injected.

I'll try the sink method. Seems safer.
So everyone thinks I'm gonna be fine, right?
Thanks for all the advice/comments. Was kinda freaking out earlier.

i think any harmful contaminants will show signs of infection fairly quickly, redness, pain swelling etc. Im sure you will be fine

While injecting plunger is damn sure not a good thing its should be sterile and should be a very small quantity so you should be fine.
As said just place the vial not the syringe in hot water, the idea is to warm the ingredients to slightly above body temp so that by the time you fill the syringe and pin its very close to body temp and the muscle does not have to warm it at the depot. By filling the syringe and using hot water you are not only subjecting the body and sealing surfaces of the plunger to more (higher temp) heat you are also subjecting it to longer contact with the solvent in the gear (would suspect EO is the culprit).
