Bleeding after injection

I usually inject in my delts but I decided to start using more locations to avoid scar tissue. So this is the 2nd or 3rd time I have rotated to injecting in my quad and the first times I had no problems. This time it hurt more than usual going in but once it was in I aspirated and no there was no blood. Once I finished injecting and pulled the rig out very dark red blood ran down about 6 inches on my leg.

My question is did I lose what I injected? Do I need to inject again? I was thinking I was good to go since I injected deep and there was no blood when I aspirated and hopefully the blood came from closer up by the skin and the gear stayed. Any thoughts? Never had this happen before

You're good, if you lost any the amount is negligible. You don't need to pin again at all, not even close. You just nicked a vein is all, no harm done.

I concur. You most likely passed through a vein....no need to stick again. Happens quite frequently to me.

I've had this happen pinning other sites too. It happens sometimes. The worst time was when pinning in the glute. Everything was fine until I pulled the needle out and then you'd swear I hit a geiser. Blood shot about 3 feet and hit the mirror. First and only time it's happened to that extent.

The same thing happened to me, when I pulled the pin out blood just gushed out of my thigh and all over my kitchen floor.

I've never hit a gusher but I have bled several times after pinning. It doesn't matter where you pin this can happen, glutes, quads, delts etc.
