Question Got lazy after the Corps!! New to everything!

I turn 39 on Thursday and am tired of being fat and lazy. After I got out of the Corps with a herniated disc in my lower back I didn’t do much of anything to keep myself in shape. Now I am a fat former Marine with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I am looking to end my streak of laziness and want to give my body a jump start into a healthier lifestyle. Keeping blood pressure and cholesterol in mind what recommendations do you have for a first cycle to get things moving? Stats Below:

    Weight - 269 lbs.
    Height 6'0"

    Medications:
    Lisinopril - 20 mg daily
    Amlodipine - 5 mg daily
    Atorvastatin Calcium - 40 mg

DR Says: lower high blood pressure, lower cholesterol, lower triglycerides to normal level (986 is my lab score), raise HDL (extremely low)

Im afraid it all starts in the kitchen, you need to eliminate all fried and processed foods, and start eating fresh, organic when possible, clean food.
    Dont forget fruit and vegetables.

Doing this along with some light cardio, like walking and trekking, would remove a lot of lbs even if you dont really reduce the volume of food.

Then starting weight lifting would be benefitial to increase your metabolism. In 6 months you can be in the 220lbs area. Here you should evaluate your drugs and see if you still are required to take them.

To actually use steroids I would only advice once your bloodwork checks out and you are at 15% bodyfat or below, and also after 2 years of weight lifting experience.

Long journey ahead of you but a challenging one!

    Good luck!

Steroids are going to increase your blood pressure and your cholesterol. If that's already high, you're a ticking time bomb.

Lose weight with diet and exercise first. Hit up the nutrition area on this site, there's a lot of good info there.

Okay, let's look at it like this, u need to get ur metabolism up... The way u do that is to eat more! Yes eat more, sounds crazy but it's the truth.. And cardiovascular work too.. That's a must!
Ur furnace (well call it) needs to have hot coals burning all the time... Like a fire u need to keep shoving the coals to keep the furnace working The more meals u eat the more ur digestive system will have to work and it will In return burn more calories...
If u were camping and u had to start a fire every day it would be a pain in the azz but if u kept it going the maintenance would be minimal... Same holds true here... Hope this helps GL

I absolutely agree with all of you!! I need to get the good ole metabolism active again. I eat once or twice a day as it is. My Dr. agrees with you also. He told me he didnt care what I at that i just need to start eating more. I know and understand the diet and excercise part very well, in my past life i lifted on a daily basis and excercised (cardio) 3-4 times a week. I know what I need to do, i was hoping to find out if there was something out there that would give me a boost, recovery esspecially. I am wiped for a couple days after I attempt to do anything, and the lower back pain is pretty crazy as well. Pretty sad if you ask me!!! A friend of mine suggested getting one dose of Decca to help with the joint pain due to the healing effects it has as well as the fat burning results it has proven to have. I am not looking to get huge or even ripped...been there done that... I am just in one of those catch 22 situations where if I do one thing another goes south and if I do another it effects something totally different. My thought is as long as I take my BP meds (they keep it down around 122/80) the slight increase from the Decca should be managable. Thoughts??

Deca doesnt heal anything, what it has is antiflammatory properties which reduces inflammation and pains associated. Plus it will shutdown your natural testosterone making things even worse.

If the pain in lower back is not from sitting in sofa, you should before starting weight lifting check with doc you are not making some hernia worse.
It is why I adviced light cardio for starters.
Fasted power walks are very good for fat burning.

the only thing ur going to do is cause ur self more problems with the use of AAS... Ur BF is too high and ur e2 will spiral out of control u will start holding water (not good) deca will shut u down w/o test... I can tell u want to hear somethings other that what u have been told but I'm afraid it just going to be the old fashioned way bro... Diet and cardio... Slow and steady wins the race...
