Is it test flu or bad gear? PCT after 1 week?

First time doing a cycle. I'm doing 500mg Test E per week, so 250mg E3D.

First pin was Monday night, left quad (wife's a nurse and is against pinning in the glute due to something she learned in nursing school that was over my head). A little PIP, but not much; it was about what I expected for having a needle and 1cc in my leg.

Thursday afternoon I started feeling like shit, though. Sorry for the TMI, but had really bad diarrhea; lasted through the night, literally waking me up 4 times to use the bathroom.

Friday morning I felt better, but not great. Went ahead and pinned again, right quad this time.

Within a few hours PIP in right leg was worse than the left had gotten. Hurt all the way down into my knee. Then yesterday after lunch, the stomach stuff started back up again.

So, for the past 24 hours, I have spent a very large portion of that time in the bathroom. I've had some of the worst stomach cramps I've ever had. Plus today my PIP is crazy.

I've seen a lot about test flu, but this seems a little more extreme. Plus, I keep hearing mixed things about test flu. Seems like half the people say "it's normal, you'll get over it within 1 to 6 weeks" and others say "it's bad gear, pharma gear doesn't cause this." So, I'm not sure who to follow; and not sure if I can do this for several weeks... if I can't even eat or train (had to cut the training session short this morning after literally hitting the bathroom between every single exercise; finally was in too much discomfort), then it's a waste of a cycle anyway, right?

The big question if I stop is: what's a necessary PCT for cutting it off after 1 week?

I'll wrap it up since it's getting long...

TLDR - possible test flu; is it bad gear? Should I try to push through, or stop cycle? If I stop, what's PCT recommendation?

Very likely its bad gear if you started feeling it several days after the first shot, as Test Flu usually hits as the gear builds up in your system....of course my experience with Test flu is limited to a close friend (We did the same gear, I don't get it) and it has been with Test P.

The standard question would be. Do you know any other trustworthy people who are doing the same gear (not the guy or friends of the guy who sold it to ya :-) if so then are they also reacting badly? However unless its test base ( test with no ester attached) I really doubt test flu is hitting you this bad this quick... hell even if is imagine how bad its gonna be by weeks 2,3,4 etc.

As far as PCT, you should be fine without one... IMHO

I had bad gear with EO in it that did the same things. Next day I would be done for. Like FFM stated most likely your gear is poop..

Only one week, Imo a pct is not needed. That's not typical test flu symptoms, my guess is shit gear.

Looks like a systemic reaction. Do you have fever too? Coughing/wheezing? What I cannot understand however is how a nurse can be against (proper) dorsogluteal injections...

Dang, so it gets worse? That would be completely counter productive to the goal of the cycle if I'm down for a couple days every week.

    No fever, coughing, or wheezing.

As for the injection site; I think the key word here is "proper." I know bros would never mess up, but there is a very small window for success with the dorsogluteal site. If you ever see properly trained nurses in a hospital, when it comes time to do a dorsogluteal, it's a big deal... they are very particular about following the steps of identifying the location and making sure the injection is in the perfect spot.

I can't post links here, but this is excerpt from a paper that explains it a bit: "The presence of major nerves and blood vessels, the relatively slow uptake of medication from this site compared with others and the thick layer of adipose tissue commonly associated with it, makes this site problematic.7 The sciatic nerve and superior gluteal artery lie only a few centimetres distal to the injection site, thus great care needs to be taken to identify landmarks accurately. Palpating the ileum and the trochanter is important; using visual calculations alone can result in injection being placed too low and injuries to other structures.8

Risks associated with an IM injection to the dorsogluteal site

    Contact with sciatic nerve
Contact with the superior gluteal artery
Too much fatty tissue – poor absorption rates."

sounds like fear mongering for gluteal injections,
ive had 3 different docs inject to my glutes, all
just tell you to bend over and BAM, done....
absobtion, same same..PIP, very little if any,
tenderness, next to none...if i could do it
myself, it would be my choice
