Should I run my cycle now or later?
Hi all,
I posted my cycle a few weeks ago and I was going to run it last week but I am not sure my timing is right. It has been 5 months since my last cycle and I have been fully recovered for 3 months according to my blood work. I was up to #218 after my last cycle, but I made a bad judgement call and decided to try and cut weight during PCT for a competition, the result was I made weight but lost 8# in lean tissue according to dexa scan I did after my comp. Since then my lifts have been crap and I am not as strong as I was even before my last cycle. I was thinking I would be able to get back to my old numbers in a few months but I havent been able too and now its in my head too. My question is should I just jump on cycle to get my numbers back up and my head right again? I wont be cutting weight like that ever again, I have committed to go up a weight class and stay there. Now I dont blast and cruise I cycle on and off because of my work situation. What are you guys thoughts on this? Oh also my diet is on point and my sleep is decent I get about 7-8 hours a night and 9+ on the weekends. Any advice is welcome. Thanks guys!!

If your sticking to the 2 cycles each year method I would just wait the one more month and start your cycle then

12 week cycle + 2 weeks wait +4 week PCT = 18 weeks. Wait 18 weeks (or more) and you're up to 36 weeks before the next cycle. There's 52 weeks in a year so you should be running about 3 cycles every 2 years. That's just the rule of thumb. You can adjust the duration as you see fit. It is recommended that this rule of thumb is a good base for safer cycling periods.
