    A cycle while on TRT

I'm 48 yrs old 200lbs and I diet, I've been on TRT for 2 yrs.

My question is what's the safest way to do a cycle.

    How long?
    What do I use?
    How do I come off?

    And any other advice

    Thanks

    Exactly what was mentioned above.

To add a note, you should identify if you have primary or secondary hypogonadism. The reason being is your choice PCT.

If you are currently on Test for your TRT and have primary hypogonadism, your PCT should be going back to your TRT regiment.
If you are secondary, that means it is possible for you to respond to things like Clomid that up your LH/FSH so you should do the suggested PCT that kelkel shared with clomid and nolva, then move back to your TRT afterwards.

I am secondary and take test twice a week but after cycle I like going on clomid to restart my system and let it produces its test for a bit, albeit low test, but still producing its own, then I move slowly back to my weekly test shots. my PCT is extended a bit more but I like restarting the engine a bit.

    austino,

By the time I got a good doc, I had already started treatment and he said determining if it was primary or secondary was water under the bridge at that point. What would happen if I'm secondary and just resumed my normal TRT therapy?

I'm on TRT also. The simplest way would be to increase your TRT dose to 500mg/wk to 600mg/wk. Make sure you have adex and if you're concerned about testicular shrinkage get HCG . I don't even bother anymore with the HCG.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but do you have any idea how long after you go back to your TRT doses it takes your blood results to get back to normal?

Since my body doesn't naturally produce Test, I'm not sure what "normal" would be.

Me too, I phrased that wrong. I mean I assume all your levels are where you want them to be on TRT. So when you do a cycle, it throws those numbers off a bit, no? So after you finish your last injection of a cycle, and start back on TRT doses...do you have any idea how long you personally need to get back to your TRT blood levels? Or am I completely off and the numbers don't change that much?

Sorry, you can do whatever you want.

But doing PCT and then go back to test shots is completely unproductive, you will just get shutdown again once you restart shooting test, why the 4 week delay?

If you are in TRT, primary or secundary (or a bit of both like many), just go back your TRT protocol. Waiting and doing PCT will make you lose some gains and be pointless.

Minimum 4 weeks, 6 is better. If you use deca need at least 8 weeks.

Second this. At 57, I was on TRT for 7 months & followed this thread for my first cycle, no problems.

No disagreement with you, for me it is more of a mental check that if I decide to get off TRT at some point, I still could.

    Thank you.

As far as austino's method of going off TRT (pardon my french everyone) my quality of life was absolutely fucked before it got me back on the right track. I don't ever intend to go off.

Yet...here I am still considering a cycle that could risk me getting kicked off by my doctor. No accounting for common sense, huh?
