Heavy Weights/Less Reps Vs Lower Weights/More Reps on Roids and off roids
Low reps- heavy weights vs more reps lower weights while on roids?
Well, this guy says on roids it's best to do more reps and lower weights and when you're off roids heavy weights.. Looks like I've been doing it wrong on roids.
And if your eating your calories, enough sleep et al, there's no such thing as over training.

Catabolism will occour at high reps regardless of what you eat or how you sleep. Ever see that endurance runner with Mr. Olympia legs? Me either. I dont care what supplements your on, or if you sleep while you train, you can ALWAYS overtrain. Sleep is important, diet is important, and the proper amount of training is important.
The longer I do this the more I see how important it is to not overtrain. I have done HIT for many weeks and I took a week off on my legs to let them have a break. I came back today and thew on 25lbs extra to my work weight and ran that shit for 5 sets. HIT is great hitting one group and letting it heal a week. Even a week is not long enough after a while, you need a break longer than that.
I was worried I would hit the squat rack and find I lost on my work weight... shiiiit! I walked on that shit! Two weeks off took my legs to the next level.
What I'm trying to say in short is that: Rich Piana, is living proof you can be big and be mentally retarded. I think this guy and Dylan Gimelli, need a team of zoologists to study their behavior. If they can map a pattern between Rich and Dylan's brain wave signatures, and overlay a map of an orangutan's brain... I believe they can finally know for certain that the, "missing link" walks amoung us today. No offense JD none at all! You are ok by me! Rich is the poster child of why you need to stay away from youtube for any aas info. Once again good post, not flaming you but this guy Rich ate one too many cans of tuna!

Trust me, I know better by not believing everything I see or read, especially all those who post Youtube videos showing how to do "proper form" and they're not doing proper form, saying "don't do it this way, everything you've learned is wrong, do it this way" just for inexperienced people to mention their name and boost views on their youtube channel. And there IS such a thing as over train, I took a day off between days I workout and by doing so I was able to lift heavier compared to if I were lift 5 days in a row with no days off in between. Just because I posted this doesn't mean I will follow his advice.

The problem with youtube is that is like television, most of it its entertainment.
In a forum you can state something, and if its not accurate or wrong, easily other members can debate it and debunk it. It is a dialogue and collective train of thought.
Youtube videos you can say whatever you feel like and no one there will be no debate about it. It is a monologue.
It is a major problem because kids start watching videos there at very young age. Every 4-5 year olds follow the youtube gamers, and from there, they will start building their knowledge base of any information about this videos, not knowing what is right or wrong.

Why does it have to be one or the other. I do both when I'm cycling. I'll do 90% of 1RM for 6reps x ? sets. I also do 70% of 1RM for lots of reps. I just finished a workout with 100reps wide grip pullups (AMRAP sets), 185lbs barbell rows x 100reps, 150lbs seated rows for 100reps, and a couple of arm exercises for 100reps each. I get bored of doing just strength workouts or just endurance workouts. They're all good workouts so mix 'em up and have fun.
