    Instead of being on and off cycle...

    Hey everyone.
    So I was having a talk with a powerlifter (2000+ raw total) at my gym, and I mentioned that I go on and off cycle (regarding testosterone enth). He stated that he never goes off cycle, and doesn't blast and cruise either. What he does, and recommended that I do, is take 400mg a week always. This allows him to continue making gains at a steady pace without the need to get off.
    Does this make sense to anyone? Any advice regarding a constant 'permanent' dose for making strength gains?

    This is no way to make steady gains, ask this question what happens on day when he stops powerlifting and stops test? I'd be interested to see his bloodwork.

    This is a very good reason why aas gets a bad rap beacuse people who know lil or nothing pass their dumbsh1t on to others.Just beacuse this guy has good lifts doesn't mean his insides are not messed up and they will be.

    After about 12 wks gains from a cycle will cease and the only way to continue is to increase the amount. Theres no sense in it. Having a break and maintaining gains will do you more good in both the gains and personal health departments. To be right honest my gains cease around week 8. I am a crazy bastard and if it worked I would be on a blast always.

    A healthy male, age 25, is producing about 70mg/wk of natural Testosterone. 400mg/wk is almost 6x the normal level. Your liver is working hard to process that exogenous Test. That constant load on the liver is not healthy. The reason you cycle steroids is to give your body time to recover from the load. You reset your HPTA, then you cycle again. There is real possibility of liver failure if you tax that guy too much. I'm not saying you're going to have liver failure. I'm say, it's just not healthy.

    If you do that, what you eventually end up with is a type of AAS "dependency".
    Know several who's done the same basically, perhaps taking one month each year to let blood levels fall and organs recover somewhat.

    400mg a week, for sure it can be done, but as stated, not healthy, nor is it the optimal approach IMO.
    I'm sure this guy doesn't just do 400mg a week al year,
    I'll bet he ups the dose and blasts away as well some times.

    when people cruise they usually cruise around 100-200mg a week 400mg is a cycle

    I guess this would be the equivalent of eating the same amount of calories every day and expect to get bigger indefinitely. At some point your body will need more to build more.
