Varicoceles and Testosterone
I noticed that in the past few weeks my sex drive had been going down so I decided to get some blood work done and found my total test levels were low for a 21 year old, 550 ng. Also my Lh was low 1.7 if i remember correctly, and my estradiol was on the higher end of normal, weird.
I attribute this drop due to my very large Varicocele (inflammation of testicular blood vessels) on my left nut. It is massive and I've gotten several ultrasounds done and the doctor seemed relatively unconcerned but said I could have surgery if it continued to bother me. Well two years later it is still massive, my left nut is at least twice as big as my other one, probably closer to 3 times. I'm already married with a kid so I'm not super concerned with infertility.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone with varicoceles has successfully shrunk it by taking testosterone which is supposed to shrink your nuts. (a good thing in my case)
Plus if my natty test levels don't recover I really wouldn't mind being on TRT for life because my nuts have given me nothing but trouble. The left one is the size of a baseball, the right has hospitalized me twice due to testicular torsion (too much sex), and my boys latest joint venture project resulted in a new and very loud addition to the family.
Think it's safe to jump on a cycle?

So 550 isn't too abnormal for a fit and healthy young person? I don't want to be normal by american standards.

This can be dangerous. Like said above, get it fixed.
Just pushing weights and the concurrent spike in BP can cause pain in such a condition. You can't rely on AAS helping with this, because even if you stop LH & FSH stimulation of your nuts, it's still gonna be there, and AAS may also cause a increase in hematocrit and blood pressure (BP should be controlled though, but temporary at least), and these are not things you want on top of that issue. And, this is a condition that can turn serious anyway,so I don't understand how you're doc has not allready operated. It's time for a second opinion, from an expert, like a urologist.
So basically: bump to all advices allready given.
