Using Personal Information to Order Products

    Hey all!

I was going to place an order on a website but got nervous because I have to use personal info to order. Obviously you have to because of credit cards, address, etc. Is anybody else worried about repercussions? I don't see anybody talking about this. Any help/guidance would be appreciated!!

I used money orders and the address. Well if you can have it sent somewhere else besides your house do so..but it's a chance you take.

Necessary risk for those of us that use mail order. P.O Box addresses are a sure way to bring unwanted attention so, actual name and address is pretty much required. If you're working with a reputable supplier, you should be OK. I recommend verifying your source with one of the Mods if you haven't done that yet. I don't buy using credit cards but I understand that others do with OK results, again assuming a reputable source.

If it's any help, I once had a small order confiscated by US Customs. Received a letter with some scary sounding language in it, but, no further problems beyond that. Generally, small orders go smoothly.

I've only used WU and had it delivered to my name and my address. If you're going to get in the game man-up and use your own info. Don't get someone else in trouble if things go wrong.

If it's a reputable supplier you won't have any problems. If WU screws up you better have used your real name because you must show ID to get any changes made to the transaction.

Sorry, I didn't check your join date before answering. You need to be a member of this board for
at least 45 days and have at least 100 posts before you can request a source check from a Moderator.

I recommend that you read the information post above "Source Checks 101".

Thanks everyone! I read through "Source Checks 101". Lot's of good info. I will not be purchasing anything from my source. Gonna read and post questions for awhile. I'm in no hurry.
