    Protonmail

I don't have anything other than a user relationship with this company. I'm motivated to put this here by the desire to protect others from hackers and government intrusion. Additionally, if I communicate with other memebrs I'd prefer that they have a secure means of communication. When both recipient and sender have protonmail, unbreakable end-to-end encryption exists.

You can read about it in: wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ProtonMail and hear interviews from NPR and other sources.

    This is from their website:

Welcome to the future of email!
You now have an inbox that is protected by strong encryption. Even we do not have the ability to read your emails. ProtonMail can send and receive emails from other email providers such as Gmail. It is even possible to end-to-end encrypt the messages you send to external recipients. If your friends also use ProtonMail, all your communications with them will be automatically end-to-end encrypted.
We would also like to welcome you to our community. For the past three years, we have been providing reliable and easy-to-use encrypted email to users in over 150 countries. Since the early days when ProtonMail was used by fewer than 1000 scientists at CERN, our community has now grown to over 1 million people.

Been w/Proton for a year, maybe a year and a half. They only had one major glitch from a DDoS to the best of my.knowledge. They recovered extremely fast considering what they were hit with.
Proton has a very intuitive layout.

    I use proton mail

If it's online it's not secure or encrypted, your remember Xkeyscore right?

Services like this offer peace of mind and that's about it. If you doing something so wrong that you're being investigated proton mail (and the rest) won't help you

Cheers. The targeted advertising I've received lately has given me cause to switch away from Gmail, Google and Facebook messenger.

Speaking of, what's the best messaging app? Wickr seems to pop up frequently.

    Yeah Brother,
I do think they can't read the email when both recipient and sender have this service.
And, if just being good were good enough, we wouldn't need lawyers. Also, what I think is good for me, the "Evil-Dooers and Do-Gooders" may disagree and try to take away my liberties.

Fuck the terrorists! It's the honest, liberty-loving peoples of the world with the most to loose. Both sides coming at us.
