New to Gear not to lifting.

How are y'all doing? I'm 25 at 5'10 and 185Lbs. I have a few questions I hope y'all could help me out with. I've been weight training most of my life, after I graduated high school I fell out of it for a little while. My wife and I have been hitting the gym 5 days a week now for 2 months and I've just about got back to where I was back then. I've always thought about trying a cycle but never have. Where would y'all suggest I start? I've done a lot of research on many different products, that being said I'm still not sure what's best. My wife is also interested in products to lose weight. She is 24 at 5'4 and 225Lbs. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank y'all in advance.

she doesn't need compounds... she needs a good consistent diet. Unfortunately that's it...no magic bullet. It sucks, but that's the only way.

read this and all the other stickys. Lots to learn.

Yea that's kinda what I was thinking. She has been counting her macros and has done very well sticking to it.

good for her. She has a long road and she will need you to keep her encouraged. Its a tough go to lose that much weight and it will take time. I always tell the girls I work with when they start those fad diets....You didn't gain it all in 6 weeks and you sure as hell cant expect to lose it all in 6 either.

Welcome to the board. There so much research here to answer your questions and if you have any don't hesitate to ask...everyone here will help you and your wife get on track to meet your goals. I would recommend as mentioned above for your wife as diet and exercise would be her key elements right now. Many do not realize how much diet plays a role in losing or gaining weight. Good luck to both of you.

And, having her do the reading and research will be motivating for her. She will feel empowered with the knowledge to change. She will need lots of encouragement. Make sure she knows it is a LONG term goal and a lifestyle change. Lots of people think that once they lose X amount of weight, they are done... Doesn't work that way. Gonna need to be a change in the mind for her.

    Good luck
