Low carb, high fat, high protein. If I'm on a calorie/time schedule, excessively chewing my food is not optimal. Nothing kills me more than staring at a dry piece of chicken breast.
If you want even cheaper meat with a different texture and nutrition, try chicken hearts. Lightly pan cooked, guzzled in butter. $2 lb.
