Guys losing gains after a cycle
I've seen countless guys come through my gym that will be pretty average one week, and i'll see them again a month or so later and they put on 20 to 40 pounds of pure muscle. They'll maintain it for a couple months before losing every bit of muscle they put on. It really cracks me up when they shrink and they claim to be "cutting" when it's obvious they lost 30 pounds of muscle. Do guys just not know how to pct or what? I've never done a cycle. It's a rainy day and i'm bored.

This happens too a lot of guys who really don't have a base and more important know how too eat.A guy goes from 150 to 180 now has to eat like a 180lb guy or he will lose everything. This happens all the time guys think they can get big with a few pills.

That's why many people on this forum and in general don't recommend use until you have a solid base of eating, sleep and experience in the gym. People looking for a quick fix will lose it with working out just like everything else in life.

I've ran multiple experiments in the past around the subject of pct and If you take the general approach e g take steroids get big come off no pct and eat like shit then you loose all gains made and feel like shit. Follow a correct pct but before you finish say last 2 weeks of cycle drop caloric intake by 500cals then when you start pct add them back in you should only loose a small amount of weight (this is my personal experience).

Your body can naturally sustain a certain size, say it's 180lbs. That's based on "normal" eating and exercise. You go on a cycle an gain 20lbs but then you eat and train like a 180bb guy. Your body will naturally go back to where it's the most comfortable. Like songdog says, once you gain the 20lbs of pure muscle you have to maintain it. You have feed it, supplement it, rest it well, train it, and maybe you'll be able to keep about 50%. It's tough to keep gains. You body is super smart and knows where it's comfortable. You have to maintain the gains if you want to be a big man.

I just sit back and laugh when these guys get big for 2 or 3 months and shrink again. The best part is they won't admit to doing a cycle or taking orals. Most guys at my gym believe orals are healthy and when I try to explain the hpta shutdown they just don't listen. Just give em awhile when they fuck up their whole system and can't get it up

I just came off cycle, been off around a month or so now. I haven't noticed any decrease in strength or size. I am lifting just as hard and haven't changed my diet from when I was on cycle. So far it's been great, I thought I'd be in a rush to get back on but so far I'm just enjoying taking a break from the pins. I am still eager for the next run, I had great results this time around.

This reminds me of a young guy in my gym. He's arrogant, but he's 22. First time I saw him a few years ago, he was about 6'2" 225lbs with about 12% body fat. He was impressive. Anyways, that was summer. Fast forward to the following spring, he was literally 160lbs. No one recognized him. He got the gym spring through summer and that was it. Within 6 weeks he was back to his impressive stats. It beats anything I've ever seen. I see him and just think of the potential he has. What he has is something that we all hope for, but he just pisses it away. If I had his genes, you guys would see me on stage.

It bothers me. It really does. I don't try to advise him because he is a butt head and all, but I do think about the harm he is causing every time I see him in there. The kid has so much potential, he just chooses to yo yo every summer. Of everyone I've ever trained, mentored, prepped for shows, etc, not one has ever had the genetic makeup this kid has. I could see him getting his pro card in a year. I'm not kidding. At 225, his body fat is so low, and his height along with it is amazing.
