What do some of you do to dispose of your used pins?

I put the pins with needle cover on in the rubbish bin. Why? Seen the auto slin pin? You add the pin on the end and when empty it instructs you to place in the rubbish bin. Maybe different instructions in North America due to all the drug usage.

I'm always worried someone is going to find it, or people get a hold of em. Probably over-thinking it, but I've got a shit ton stored in boxes and rather not keep waste. Thought about melting them down then tossing away..

I remove the pin from the luer lok and with the pin in its cover I plce it lengthways with the syringe and electrical tape it until it is covered and put it in a soda can etc and it goes in the trash can.

Protein shake container. Fill it up then tape it up.

If you melt the stuff down remember Oil is flamable and so is solvent. Don't have one of those Turducken videos in Youtube where shit goes sideways in a most colossal way.

I put them in and Sharps bin and call my local council (garbage truck people) and they come and take them for free.

There is nothing worse that being a garbage man walking on his load too tarp it and get stuck by a pin.So don't throw then in the trash beacuse the container you use will get crushed leaving pins floating around.

You could always make a pit and fill it up with them like in the movie "Saw 4". Hide a key at the bottom and make someone go looking.

Yeah I def don't want anyone getting stuck by one of mine handling the garbage. I used to fill up a protein jug as mentioned and toss em. There might not be a best way, just want to minimize what happens after I'm finished with them. I've got a F ton I need to get rid of

I asked this same thing, and got great answers.. ultimately i bought a sharps container and will jusy bring it to the a disposal site. Its as easy as that no questions asked

I take an old laundry detergent container/protein container, anything that can't be punctured easily, then use a red perm marker or paint pen and label it Hazardous: caution sharps container. Tape the top closed and leave it at the local elementary school. Jk jk!!!

I either drop it off at the hospital er with staff or call the city trash council and they pick it up for me.
