What thyroid blood test to get prior to first tren cycle?

I think it would be very beneficial to get your thyroid levels checked before using tren because tren lowers tsh t3 and t4

My question is what tests should you get done ? Total t3 and t4. Free t3, and t4 or total and free t3 and t4? Or something else?

TSH, FT3 and FT4. As with free T the unbound hormone is what's active in the body. Total T4 and T3 are pretty much useless, though they might change after AAS are introduced.

Pull a simple cholesterol panel as well. Tren will greatly effect lipids, particularly HDL. So monitor it and see what it does to yours.
