Starting back on TRT, I Need some Advice, Please Help!
Hello and THANKS FOR READING ANY FEEDBACK IS GREATLY APPRECIATED! I was on TRT 200 mg Cyp once a week for 14 Months, Ended up in ER on May 5th thinking I was having a heart attack, BP was 177/112. Heart rate was 128, I am gonna try to condence this long story, I was also drinking a Monster sugar free energy drink and taking up to 6 sudafed tablets a day for clogged sinuses. Had ECO and Stress test, turns out I had 38% Eject Fraction Cardio myoptha. No blockages, Dr. expect the meds will fix my heart and Bring my EJF back up to 65% is what he is hope-ing for. Heart Dr. Blames Test and told me to quit Immediately, well I did and quit cold turkey and been off 6 weeks, I had to start BP meds Lisinopril 20mg daily, Coreg 12.5 mg twice a day, Not only did Meds slow heart way down made me fill like crap plus off test after 14 1/2 months of not cycling off at all made me crash big time zero energy. Talk to two Dr.'s since that said they do not believe the test alone after a short time conturbited as much as Monster and Sudafed abuse, one Dr told me I should not have quit TRT, I started back on CYP on Monday I only did 100 mg Vs the 200 mg I was on. In Two days I felt better then I have in the last 6weeks. Should I go ahead and do the full 200 mg to get test back up then cut it back to 125 mg a week, also how long should I wait to start back on Anastrozol? I was on 1 mg a day, should I let TEST LEVEL COME BACK UP A FEW WEEKS BEFORE I START BACK ON IT? Also Dr. I was seeing for TRT never checked my levels except to see if I qualified for test script. My Test level was 222 before starting test. I can't live like I was off of it! I wanted to ease back in to it to see how I felt being on the Meds heart Dr. had me on. the Difference just 100 mg made in a couple of days was incredible after the 6 week break. I did not do any PCT when i quit because I did not know if I need it. How should I get back in to this? I am gonna find a different Dr. for sure, but I am going back to get next script, because most Dr. won't prescribe 200 mg week. Thanks!

With your cardiomyopathy I would not even venture to advise you on anything other than some maintenance things to insure you can get safely back on TRT.
What was your CBC in terms of hemoglobin and hematocrit? That needs to be checked and if crit >50 you need to donate some blood to get it down.
Monitor your blood pressure as it may have been in part the test (obvious culprits are the Monster and decongestant tabs) also, but since you are off everything I would expect pressure to normalize so if you had no high bp prior to all the stuff you mentioned it might normalize and the bp meds will tank you. Keep a close eye on it.
How old are you?
Read about side effects of Coreg. Cardiologists put everyone on beta blockers, but in your case you may need it.
I would tread lightly until you get a repeat echo and get the ejection fraction normalized before doing much on your own. That's a low ejection fraction so work with the docs to get it back to normal.
Maybe one of the vets (kelkel or others) will weigh in on HCG for now. Were you on HCG prior?
In summary, don't f*ck around on your own until you get your heart condition taken care of. I survived 6-8 mos on test levels in the low hundreds and it sucks, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. If a doc is comfortable easing you back into TRT fine, just don't screw around yourself right now would be my suggestion.

Thank you! I will be 51 in August Lord Willing! I have never been on HCG . I started back on test on Monday only did 100 mg, I was on 200 mg weekly, I felt way better by Wed. just taking the 100mg, I had one Dr. tell me I should have never quit test said heart is a muscle and test repairs muscle, so It is very confusing, Meds are keeping heart rate down and BP med's keeping BP in check, Dr. said come back in 3 months and do another ECO hopes Ejection fraction to be back up hopefully around 65%. I tire out very fast doing anything physical, been off gym for 7 weeks do to Grade 1 and 2 Pec strain, so I have lost 8lbs in 6 weeks mostly muscle. Sucks to be me right now but thankful to be alive after one ER gave me too much med's and Flat lined me! You gave me something to think about for sure! I have no Idea about my levels TRT Dr. never checked or advised me, this was all new to me I got caught up in results and was foolish not asking about my numbers! He was negligent in not doing blood work!

What's your age sir? This is going to be interesting. Hopefully this gets worked out. I know the energy drinks and over use of Sudafed would of been the first thing I would have suspected.

200mg/wk is a lot of Test for TRT. Are you sure you need that much Test or do you want that much Test? With you heart condition, you really need to be working with a good endo to get the correct dosage dialed in for your TRT. Please remember, most of the guys on this board, including myself, have lots of experience but we are not trained medical professionals. My comments are just recommendations. You have a serious medical condition, you need to find a good endo.
