    Finding a Doctor?

    Hey buds...been awhile.

(hope all is well with everyone).

Just got off the phone with a friend of mine who lives in California. He moved there from Florida and he's having trouble Finding a Doctor to prescribe Testosterone .

    ???

He says there are clinics there but they want crazy money just to get a script for Test ($250/mth). I thought Testosterone was a regular item these days, but i guess not???

Anyone else having a difficult time finding a Dr. who will prescribe?

    ~T

For hormone replacement therapy it's quite easy, assuming blood work warrants it. Other than that, you're really not going to find a doc to write you without a medical necessity.

I tried to get my doc to prescribe Test for a TRT but he was very reluctant. My #'s were low low low but he still insisted it was in the "normal" range and wouldn't give me a script. I went and got my own Test through a UGL and I feel a ton better being on TRT.

These Dr's. are paranoid (i guess they are being scrutinized by ??? wtf knows?)

So, i told my buddy to bring his script to another Dr., and just show it to him. Dr.'s will prescribe if they know you...and/or they make $ off your visit.

Like Kel said, it's not terribly difficult if your T levels are subnormal, the difficulty lies in finding a good Dr, IMO. Maybe he could look at the A4M directory? No guarantees on the prices, but it would be a decent place to start.

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

He's going to have to just ask some middle aged men there, where he can find a Dr to prescribe TRT to him. Some family Dr somewhere close by.

The issue is if a Dr is busted prescribing a regulated drug and it is outside his expertise area he can be in for a great deal of pain. Mainly he would not be able to get insurance to practice. This coupled with it is a combination Endocrinologist/urologist issue means any single doctor writing the script is taking a risk. When the medical field is filled with pussies too afraid to administer OTC pain reliever to patients.....you cannot expect trt doc to be easy.
Buy powder and make your brew. Be independent. You have the best group of people to direct you here. The hospital that diagnosed me wanted me to come in and have injections twice a week at the damn hospital. I am not sure what planet these people are from but it is not the one that understands reality.

Personally I have gotten better replies from this site than any doctor I have visited.
