When To Start Cycle As An Ectomorph

    About me:
I am a natural Ectomorph. I am pretty "undersized" (150lb) for my height (5'10'') according to many members. When I started lifting (late 2015) I was sitting at 128lb soaking wet. The first year of lifting was a struggle putting on any solid weight. It seemed no matter how much I ate, clean or dirty, the pounds just shed right off. There were many times where I felt like this weight lifting wasn't for me. But that didnt deter me, I kept lifting everyday and eating as best I could. Luckily, my body seems to have adapted to the high (clean for the most part) calorie diet.

    Questions:

The way I see it, if I am naturally lighter than the average person, what is the big deal of starting a cycle at a "lower" body weight than most would recommend?

    Any advice or info, please!!

Because you haven't reached your full natural potential yet, that's something that's very important to do. Keep lifting heavy to failure and force feeding you will grow in time

I was your height and weight for most of my life and couldn't put weight on to save my life. But I'll tell you this, if you eat like a 150lb person, you're going to be a 150lb person. Ectomorphism is loosely used and a myth unless you have an actual condition. I went from 150-180 in about 2 years time when I started to get serious about it. You can't just eat when you're hungry and only eat til you're comfortably full. You literally have to force feed and be miserable so that your body adjusts to eating like that. Eat a lot and often. That's the only way you'll gain and keep it. Sure, you could cycle and put on a few lazy pounds, but it'll go right away when you come off because you're still eating like a 150 pound man. Most young guys just want to rely on steroids during beach season to get "jacked", and then go back to normal for the winter. They yo yo their bodies every year and that leads to damage. It's lazy and its shameful. When you eat, eat until you are full, then force more down. And eat big before bed as well.

if you were to guess/estimate my "natural limit" on body weight, what would it be to you?

thanks! i guess my goal is to just bulk for the most part.
short term goal: get to a physique look.
    long term goal: classic physique

eating has always been an issue. but as of late, seems like i can really put down meals no problem

At 510 you can put on another 20lbs lean, probably 10lbs a year, I'd say 180 it all depends on genetics

    When to start?

If you do your research and your diet is on point, anytime is a good time to start a cycle. I try to run one winter cycle to put on weight, which inevitably leads to a little excess fluff, and then cut right before the summer time "beach season," even though I'm no where close to the beach. I did this for years naturally, now I just use AAS to help it along.

I've always looked at AAS as just another supplement, albeit a much stronger (and illegal) one. Don't be stupid. Don't start with 1000mg of test a week, just like you wouldn't take three scoops of pre-workout the very first time you try it.

Read up on these forums, there is good information here. But the most important thing will always be diet. I was 6'0 170 pounds for a decade because I ate like a little bitch. Doughnuts and Mountain Dew are not good calories. Start pounding the chicken, rice, tuna, salmon, eggs, and potatoes, and you'll grow. Eat every three hours. Don't make it more complicated than it is. I'm 210 now, I have been as big as 230.

And remember....everyone in the fitness industry is selling you something. It's not complicated. Lift heavy, eat big, don't be stupid, you'll grow.

here is the easiest thing to do...
eat a cup of mixed nuts every night before bed.
    That's an extra 700-800 calories.

all the drugs in the world will not get you bigger unless you eat more.

First question I ask a person looking to bulk up:

"How many pounds of chicken are you going to eat a week?"

    Followed up by:

"Do you have a membership to Costco or Sams Club?"

It makes buying chicken, rice, and salmon in bulk a lot easier.

When I'm bulking I eat calorie dense food so that I'm not having to eat constantly every second of every day. I have been out of the gym and off any form of diet now for 6 months. I'm just now getting back to the point of regaining my focus and I've already charted my diet for when my health gets back to form.
When I say calorie dense food, I don't mean 12oz of chicken or 16oz steak. I'm talking about food with a fairly small serving size that packs in a lot of calories per serving. For instance beef jerky (or any form of dehydrated meat), milk, oats, rice, peanut butter, etc. Once I get used to the calories I can then start pounding bigger meals more frequently.
I'm not the type that will eat 6-8 meals a day. For those that do, I admire you. I don't have the time due to my crazy work schedule to do so. My focus is the big 3 meals. And in between those meals I will have those calorie dense snacks I was talking about. And when my goals are mass building, I will drink a gallon of full fat milk every day. Not at once mind you . I also have a pretty even spilt in my macronutrients as well (protein/carbs/fats).
Right now my aim is to get healthy, but my focus is on size when I get back. And I'm not excited about what steroid I want to use or what stack I want to blast. I'm excited about dialing in my diet. That's the part of it that excites me the most. It doesn't matter how many steroids you use, or how much you use. You won't gain and keep anything without food. Diet really is the most important aspect of what we do. It's not the compound we inject but the calories we eat.
I know that's a lot of writing, but you have no idea how ready I am to get back at it!
