I am just asking if there is a proper place for being generous, as I know doing so on these forums is not the proper place. Does such a place exist or, for the average consumer, is that simply within your local and personal networks?

The question doesn't seem to violate the rules posted. You need to find a source board and become a member. Some of these boards have sections where members can get rid of extras. Being new it will be hard to get rid of them as you haven't built your reputation. Other than getting rid of it locally this is the only real option.
