I just got my blood test back.
LDL - 186
HDL - 56
Triglycerides - 78
Total - 243
I spoke to the doctor, no prescription drugs for now.
I was doing some research. Below are commonly taken...
1. Red yeast rice
2. Policosanol
3. Sio-niacin
Is it enough? or shall i go for prescription drugs (in this part of world, its easy to get...)
Currently, I am taking liv52, fish oil, co-10, vit b, vit d as well.
You're not even close to needing chol meds so don't get talked into it. A good gauge of cardiac risk is to divide your triglycerides by your HDL and if about 2 or less your chances for an event are slim to none. Yours are in great shape. Total chol doesn't really mean that much.
Yes, RYR and Slo-Niacin are great items as well as NAC. Remember though the FDA here in their infinate wisdom has ordered the natural statins in RYR be removed so try and obtain it from over-seas is possible. Read this thread for more info on cholesterol.

I can say that adding a bulk fiber laxative like Psyllium Husks. I add it to my morning shake before I hit the shower. You do need to drink it fast or it will turn hard. Helps greatly with your BM among a number of other things.
