8 weeks in. Very minimal results. What to do?
Hey guys,
Just wanna start off by saying that you guys are awesome. This forum helped me out big time with my first cycle and kept me safe and healthy with all their advice!
Really hoping you guys can help me out again. So this is my second cycle ever. A little info on my previous cycle. I ran
Previous cycle:
Test Cyp 250 once a week
Winny (50?) once a week
For a 10 week cycle
Although it was a very low dosage of Test, I saw significant gains (almost 12 pounds)
I ran my PCTs as well
Nolvadex and Clomid for 4 weeks
My physical stats currently are:
Age: 31
Weight: 140
Height: 5'7
I waited about 9 months and began my second cycle, the one I'm currently on. I decided to drop the Winny. I'm 8 weeks in with Test Cyp 250 weekly, and I'm very dissatisfied with the results thus far. I've put on only about 4.5 pounds, whereas with my last cycle I saw huge differences by this point.
I was thinking of upping my dosage to about 400mg weekly and doing another 4 weeks, making it a total of a 12 week cycle.
Is this safe/smart to do or do you guys recommend another route?
Also, if I were to up the dosage and cycle term, what dosages of Nolvadex and Clomid should I be using?
I was hoping to get you guys' expert opinion on the matter.

250 weekly is a VERY mild dose. 500mg (250mg x 2 every 3.5 days) a week is what most suggest for a first cycle. I personally don't see a problem with extending the cycle to 12 weeks. I wouldn't run it any longer though. Your pct can stay the same as far as dosage but run it a week or 2 more.

Sounds a little like you are on the light side of the gear. When running just 250 you have shut down your own test production and just replaced it with your injections. I would bump up the Test to 500 mg a week taken every 3/5 days as suggested. By taking it every 3.5 days you keep your blood levels stable and you do not have high and lows. Do you have an AI or HCG ?
For PCT you need to start 14 days after your last injection. Clomid at 75/50/50/50 & Nolvadex at 40/20/20/20 so week one 75 of Clomid and 40 of Nolvadex then drop to 50/20 for the next 3 weeks. Taking HCG while on cycle will also help your pct. Kepts the boys healthy in simply terms.
You might want to look at your diet. You really need to eat on cycle. This is where a lot of people make a mistake of using AAS, they don't know how to eat and do not eat enough.Last edited by David LoPan; 01-08-2018 at 09:11 AM. Reason: Diet

if your trying to increase things like oatmeal and brown rice , then yes its going to be more difficult and its going to induce gastro distress and digestion issues.
I recommend adding in an extra cup or two of white rice here and there, a white potato, a white bagel, etc.. even a Carbohydrate drink like Carbolyze.
these things are all very easily digested and assimilated by most people and they are easy to consume . they are all also going to be easily converted and stored as muscle glycogen (especially while on a cycle)

Thank you to everybody for the helpful replies. My diet and lifting is the same as it was for my first cycle. The only difference in this cycle is that I dropped the Winny once a week.
I am considering the extra 250mg test cyp tomorrow (it will be 3.5 days after last injection) and bumping my cycle from 8 weeks to 12
I train Kickboxing and wrestling daily, during my last cycle I wasn't training so much due to an injury. During this cycle, I have been training daily again, so there's definitely a lot more calorie burning going on as opposed to last cycle. But like I said, I'm just not seeing the changes that I did last cycle

Well like I said before, my diet is the same as it was during my first cycle. Roughly 2000 calories daily with 200+ grams protein, a lot of carbs and moderate fats. Lifting 3 times a week and training kickboxing/wrestling daily.
I'm curious as to why there would be such a big difference in this cycle and the last cycle when everything is virtually the same.

Everything being the same, your gear sucks, but I doubt everything is the same. Also you did a cycle and you only weigh 140lbs........

intersting observation here.
OP, if your first cycle was so great and yielded you good gains ,, then why did you start a second cycle only weighing 140 pounds. so what did you weigh before you started your first cycle and got all those gains, like 110 pounds (plenty guys can gain 30lb from first cycle).
also your only eating 2000 calories per day (which is sometimes just my breakfast) and doing a lot of workouts . your never going to get gains with a diet like that. you need to 'FEED' your cycle , food is the most anabolic thing you can take in, food is what Test uses to help you get gains

Yes, the training this time around is a lot more, and I understand that I'm burning more calories.
Maybe it sounds stupid but, my previous cycle, when I had first began, I was putting on a lot of bulk muscle and wasn't training/burning as many calories. When I picked up the training mid cycle, I still was muscular but very cut and lean
This time around, the training/calorie burning is more, and I've increased my calorie intake to compensate for that. But the muscle I've put on still seems to be soft and not as lean.
Maybe I'm crazy, maybe the gear is bad, or maybe I need to eat even more lol.. it just sucks to see such minimal results this far into the cycle (8 weeks in). Just seems like it's been a waste of a cycle thus far and shutting down natural T for only 5 pounds doesn't seem like a great tradeoff

If i was using a similar dosage,the best i would expect,is a few more hard ons.
