What have steroids done to your reproductive and heart health?
Andrology Department at Concord Repatriation General Hospital is recruiting for a study to help answer these questions. We will provide you the results and will not cost anything to take part!
The study is for men aged 18 to 50 years, exercising regularly (at least 3 times/week). It does not matter if you are currently using androgens or used in the past (last use >3 months).
You are required to have blood, urine tests, semen analysis, body composition/ DEXA scan (looking at fat and muscle distribution) and heart tests including ECG (electrical tracing of the heart), ECHO (ultrasound of the heart) and CT calcium score (to evaluate calcium deposition in the heart blood vessels). These tests can be done in 1 visit of 4 hours or 2 visits of about 2 hours each at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. We will be able to provide you with the results of these tests.
