    Does hgh shut you down similar to testosterone?

    As in when taking test you're obviously shutting down your own production. I'm assuming taking hgh does the same.. does it bounce back quickly after stopping administration? Considering taking hgh, deca , or npp for my knees and joints. Already on trt. Any short term or long terms side affects to be worried about? What do you all think would be best for my knees/joints?

    At your age, 21, it would be hard to take enough exogenous HGH to compete with your natural levels.

    Well 22, but i'm on trt originally prescribed by doctor, but now doing it on my own. Would it be beneficial running hgh for a time for my knees? I'm not interested in using it for muscle etc. I would just like to help my clicking knees.

    No it will have zero benefit, go and see the doctor to be referred to a knee specialist and change things around in your leg workout to take the strain off your knees

    I've already been to a knee specialist and had meniscus surgery in October 2017. He says that my cracking knees isn't a serious problem and just tells me to stop squatting. Doctors are of no help at this point

    Stop squatting for a bit. Hit hacks or v squat reverse. There's plenty to do but forget gh.

    Can you please explain why gh wouldn't help. From all the reading I've done it seems that it really helps with injuries.. even mark cuban is supporting a study at Michigan university how it can help speed up an acl injury

    HGH is a substance that promotes growth, and through growth it can help with some specific types of injuries. The injury, meniscus surgery, isn't one of them. Typically we are talking about some soft tissue injuries.
    -Your natural HGH levels have the same potential to fix what exogenous HGH would do. Work the joint, don't tax it. Give it a year of real special concern. BTW, as well as being good for rehab, high reps are good for leg muscle development.

    Appreciate the response. It's just frustrating going from squatting so heavy one week to not squatting for 6 months. Squats are my true love 😭

    Your body produces the maximum amount of natural growth hormone until about the age of 30. From that point your body reduces the production of growth hormone by about 2% per year. When you take exogenous HGH, you slow down the production of your natural growth hormone. It's a crap shoot whether your body can get back to 100% production of its own growth hormone after you stop taking HGH. Growth hormone definitely aids in healing but at your age, taking HGH has marginal additional effect over your natural production. At my age, 59, I feel a HUGE benefit. I think you'd be wasting your money at this point.

    I see where you're coming from. I know I'm young but I'm about ready to try anything that could help my knees. Already being on trt I definitely don't wanna be stuck on gh shots forever that shits expensive. I'm still weighing the risk to benefits..
