    Planning to get Gyno Surgery

First paragraph below is a little history for those that don't recall my thread several months back:

Post-PCT, I developed a little gyno flare-up in my left nipple, and asked for advice on how to treat it. Instead of trying to treat it with Nolva and AI, I gave Ralox a try and ran it for months with no success. My left nipple is now permanently puffy and quite honestly an embarrassment. I've been using lots of compression shirts or surgical tape just to keep it from looking pointy through my shirts. Mind you I'm a trainer at a gym, so this would be quite embarrassing around my colleagues.

Now I'm planning to get gyno surgery since it won't seem to resolve on its own. I don't know if I'll just try to find a out-of-network physician and just fork out the $6-8K it's likely going to run me, or if I'm going to try to conjure up a story to my doctor and see if my provider will cover the surgery. Chances are gyno surgery is going to be considered elective plastic surgery and I'll be sh*t out of luck.

The story I'm thinking of telling them is that I've had a tiny bump under my left nipple most of my life (false), but it was never really a problem until recently when I gained a lot of weight over the holidays (kind of true) and now that I lost the weight, I was expecting the bump to disappear, which it didn't. Now I have this embarrassment of a b*tch tit of a left nipple that I'm self-conscious about and would like to get taken care of.

I doubt that will work, but what do you guys think?

Also, anyone with Gyno Surgery have any experience and/or recommendations as I look into physicians out of network? What to expect, what to look for, anything that may not be obvious to someone looking into such a procedure?

I have talked to my wife's plastic surgeon about mine,

It's not worth the effort until it's bad enough - he ran me through it pretty well. Prob is, that it might not come out as perfect as you wish it would.

It costs about 2-4k depending on who does what

It's always elective - no insurance will cover it

What's considered "bad enough" though? I mean, it's pretty obvious when I'm not coming out of the shower or water. When hard, it's not noticeable at all. When soft, it's pointy, puffy, and all b*tch-titty looking.

What makes you say it's not worth the effort? Have you had it done before? Sincerely curious to know why you say this.

It also sounds like it's not even worth going through my physician since it's not going to be covered - especially considering it will come along with a host of questions regarding using AAS. She has already questioned me once before I even used just because I wanted a simple test/free-test panel done. This will definitely sound the alarm and potentially open me up to a bunch of BW that will likely show I'm on cycle or was on cycle.

U tell me, what's bad enough - let me know how it goes

    No - it all depends,

In my case, the nodule growth is very minimal. But, I have quite a bit of excess fat - specially in the right one. . . . But, imo it's still not worth going under the knife for

Yeah I've done some research myself cause I'm eventually going to get it done when I get closer to competing but I'm really dreading the time off I'll have to take post surgery.

I have heard of insurance covering it BUT it's very uncommon and your doctor has to be cool af and the reason for the surgery HAS to be medically necessary as in a tumor that may be cancerous. Men do get breast cancer so it does happen, although uncommon. So that's where your doc being cool comes into play...all he has to do is diagnose it as a tumor. Easier said than done, of course.

I agree with Samson that it isn't worth removing unless it's really causing probs for you and in your case it does sound like a real problem. Especially cause it's only on one side so it's even more obvious.

In the meantime, you can try crashing your estrogen with Letro which will shrink it up snd reduce the puffiness. It's a tricky thing to pull off successfully though, hardest part being tapering off the Letro and finding the right dose to let some of your estrogen come back without creating a rebound. You'll def wanna run Nolva once you stop the Letro to ensure that if you do have some rebounding estrogen it won't bind and make the gyno worse.

Keep in mind that I have seen guys do this and actually shrink the lump and noticeably reduce puffiness. It will still be there but look much better. However, long term this is not a permanent solution as it almost always comes back. But I'm suggesting it because of your line of work and it's an immediate TEMP solution until you get it removed.

Last thing is you should be able to find a better price than 7 grand. Prices may vary based on location but where I'm located plastic surgery is very common so the common price point I've seen is 3-5 g's.. Good luck man.

Well, being unusually uncomfortable with taking my shirt off and even walking around in a tee-shirt without compression shirts, "wife-beaters", or anything to keep my left nipple from pointing out is something I'd consider significant or "bad enough." Not really a fan of being super self-conscious when I can potentially fix the issue.

Of course brother that's why we keep Nolva on hand and run AI's like adex to keep estrogen in check. If you haven't needed those then you're prob not sensitive to gyno and may never need to worry about it. But even if gyno isn't a concern there are still other health reasons to keep estrogen.
