    DHT blocker and hormones

Does taking a DHT blocker mess with your hormones in any way? Starting to wonder if the DHT blocker is worth it and what negative sides i may see
Only side effect I've heard of is dick issues

Depends why you need it. BPH, hairloss, what's the issue?

Apparently just been thinking about hair loss lately and getting to the point where a little is thinning out
Full baldness doesn't run in my family at all so I think I'm lucky there but I did recently start adding in a DHT blocker and some other herbal shit. Thinking now maybe it doesn't really matter than much anyway

I still want to run the DHT blocker but re-thinking the hair loss issue its an odd one.

I get a script for 2mg/ed of Finasteride and got Rogaine from Costco for the hair loss. Seems to be working.

Yea I have been using finasteride kind of on and off for a while now. I think it did stop the baldness from spreading so I decided to add a DHT blocker to the stack incase something goes south with my next cycle

In one of his Ask The Doc episodes, Rand Mclain said that the side-effects of a DHT blocker are very rare. But part of the benefit of my TRT is the increase in well being from the DHT increase. If I took a DHT blocker (Finasteride) wouldn't I lose that feeling of well being?

If you're running Fina you definitely don't need another dht blocker on top of it. It's quite effective well beyond normal physiological levels of testosterone .

That's an individual thing. Personally I did not lose any feeling of well being. I've run plenty of BW involving DHT while on various levels of test and the Fina is very effective at all levels. I'll note that even on a TRT dose of test my DHT levels were above range. Most here would see the same on BW if they tested it, imho. Fina dropped my DHT to sub normal levels and thus helped my psa.

On the young it can bring problems.

There are reports of guys under 30 with hormonal and sexual problems because of taking propecia.

Yea. I probably wasted the money but bought another product anyway
Wasn't sure about the fin and dht blocker being different somehow

It has extra herbal stuff so may be worth it

I've been on TRT for over 15 years and finasteride for about 6 years. I haven't noticed a change in my sense of well being.

    Thanks Kel and Scotch
I'm going to talk to my doc about finasteride. I'm concerned with psa, prostate, etc. I'm doing 70mg 2xweek now. My test is probably around 8-900. It was 1100 at 100mg 2xweek. My DHT was at the top of the range. Before I started TRT my DHT below the range. What would be a good starting dose for Fina?
