Has anyone tried Prohormones?
I'm 35 and have been lifting naturally for 15 years. I have been thinking about trying a beginners cycle for the last few years but have never been able to talk myself into it and I feel I haven't done enough research. I've decided to take a different route and try a bottle of 1-AD prohormones first to see how they work. I've read that they are slightly less effective than steroids but also have less side effects. Has anyone tried prohormones before? and if so what was your experience?

Prohormones are useless. They will shut down your endocrine system just as steroids and they are extremely liver toxic. Do not waste your money or time on prohormones. They are worse than steroids from a health perspective.

I tried them once and all I got out of it was side effects and no gains.
If you are going to be serious about running a cycle and get some gains bite the bullet and do injections.

My buddy did pro hormones and ended up in the hospital with pancreatitis. He got strong at times but not anywhere near what real steroids could do.
I would start with Test E/C/P (injectables).

Prohormones are more expensive, less effective, and harder on your liver than oral steroids so I wouldn't recommend using them. Sure, they do work and you can certainly make gains on them, but they need to be treated the same as steroids because they shut down your HPTA endocrine function the same as oral steroids.
When cycling it's typically recommended to start with testosterone injections 2x week using either cypionate or enanthate . Do more research and be sure this is something you want to do and are ready for because it's a big commitment.
Don't waste you money and health on mediocre gains from prohormones.

Prohormones are less effective than the least effective steroids , and probably more expensive. I'm not sure about their sides in general, but they are much worse on your health, particularly your liver, than any injectibles, and very possibly more toxic to your liver than oral steroids (though IDK that for a fact).
The ONLY reason prohormones were a decent decision a few years ago is because they were legal until 2014 if I'm not mistaken. So you didn't have to go through the drama of looking for sources, risking getting bunk gear, etc. You always knew what you were getting, and you always knew it was going to work. Had a few friends who took them with decent results (nothing like what you could expect from legit steroids though).
But now that prohormones are banned, there's literally no upside to using them compared with steroids, and a whole lot of downsides, such as cost, toxicity, lower effectiveness, and you still have to do PCT afterwards. I would steer clear of prohormones and start researching for your first test cycle.

Awesome guys, some crazy good advice, I'm probably just going to toss the ones I ordered then.

I have tried both roids and prohormones. If compared I'd would say I had even poorer physical performance while on prohormones (even at high dose) than training naturally. My advice - save your money for the real thing.
