Thoughts on my blood test result

    Hi everyone,

I've done my first cycle 3 month ago and was planning to start a second one, I just got my blood test result yesterday and some parameters has changed which makes me wonder if It is wise to start my second cycle or not - and the only reason that I'm worried is just because I have one KIDNEY and do no want take high risks.

Blue color is my test result before my first cycle and Red color is 2 month after my PCT. (green is normal reference range).

    UREA-------------------------------- 47.9 (15-45)
    BLOOD UREA NITROGEN----------- 19 --- 22.5 (7-21.03)
    Creatinine--------------------------- 1.1 --- 1.3 (0.7-1.4)
    GFR---------------------------------- 65.5 (Male/30yrs: 90-140)
    Cholestrol--------------------------- 165 --- 185 (<200)
    HDL---------------------------------- 70 --- 61 (>39)
    LDL---------------------------------- 68 --- 111 (<130)
    SGOT-------------------------------- 30 --- 40 ( up to 38)
    SGPT-------------------------------- 33 --- 36 (up to 40)
    SGOT/SGPT Ratio------------------- 0.9 --- 1.1 (0.7-1.4)

With having one kidney I personally would not risk it at this time... others may not agree and can give you their thoughts for you to weigh also.

Your Creatinine has raised which by average (nation wide) medical standards has changed for ranges to be (1.0) in past 2 years as they have found when it starts to elevate there is onset of kidney disfunction (note I said dysfunction not disease), which starts to show in your GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate) which in your case it appears to show a reduced kidney function.

LDL or "bad cholesterol" has also raised not out of range but raised - which could be diet related, remember diet needs to be in check while on cycle.

SGOT is elevated slightly which could go along with some stress to your kidney...

your BUN is also slightly higher which again can mean stress to your kidney...

I would wait and have labs run again in 3 months and see if they go back to normal ranges before I proceeded for what its worth.

One more thing you need to really make sure you are drinking plenty of water.

I’ve been told by several doctors that a high bun level isn’t harmful at all... as long as you are hydrated and taking care of yourself, you are just fine.
My bun level is like 28 and he said it’s okay just drink a lot of water.

Thanks for your advice; and will wait to receive my test result again within 3 month. I don't wanna mess up my kidney function for sure.

By the way, I have seen my urologist and he asked doing some more test including kidney sonography and Post-Void Residual Urine Test.

That's what I was figuring. I definitely would defer any cycle at this point due to your only having one kidney. You definitely don't want to damage this kidney and end up with renal failure. At least wait until your values are normal and then perhaps reconsider.
If you need motivation, just go spend an hour in the waiting area at a dialysis clinic.

Thanks for your advice, I'll do what you suggested - Is also taking HGH have some negative impact on kidneys ? I have done a bit research and it seems actually it improves kidneys function - do you have any thoughts on this?

    Hgh wont hurt your kidneys
    AAS will.
The bodybuilding lifestyle of dehydration before comp, high protein, and compound will send you to an early grave.

    No questions.

Anyone who argues can suck it because they are in denial.

Your heart/bp, arteries, pancreas, liver, and kidneys are muy importante in this game. One kidney disqualifies you. Cold hard truth find a new hobby.

Totally agree! high BUN alone is nothing to worry about per say, however with only one kidney and other elevated factors he runs a higher risk of damaging his kidney... and again you are correct he needs to drink plenty of water/fluids to flush his kidneys.

Hey guys just wanna give you a quick update ... I've just visited my doctor who is kidney surgeon and specialist in mens fertility. After he reviewed my blood test he made the following points:

    - testosterone does not have any negative direct impact on kidneys however it may effect fertility.
    - He mentioned during cycle you will increase your protein intake through taking protein powders,... which may impact kidneys function - so in conclusion protein powders is more harmful to kidneys function.
    - So he asked when I take supplements it is necessary to re-check my kidney function by doing related blood tests.
    - But if I'm interested to take steroids , he insist to check my blood test + hormone levels + sperm analysis with him.
    - He also prescribe sample hormone replacement at medical dosage as below:

    day 1: Test E@250
    day 10: Nandrolone
    day 20: Test E@250
    day 30: Nandrolone
    day 40: Test E@250
    day 50: Nandrolone
    day 60: Test E@250

He already told me don't expect to have promising strength or mass gain with this cycle - No AI needed during cycle - HCG only if necessary.

Please let me know what are your thoughts on this.

Horrible protocol. Why exactly is he prescribing nandrolone to you in particular?

Read the stickies in the TRT section.

I wouldn't recommend that. Your testosterone levels are going to be very unstable. Did he even show any concern that your BP could become elevated and what that could do to your only kidney?
There would be no way to.predict the need for an AI without labwork.

I have no idea why did he prescribe nandrolone, he just told me that we are not gonna use BB's dosage. Gonna ask him in my next visit and will share it with you.

I've already read the TRT section and his protocol seems strange that's why I'm asking.

I thought the same that it will fluctuate my testosterone levels.

He showed no concerns about blood pressure - He told my GFR is a bit low which is normal since I have one kidney.

He was only worried about my protein intake. (He obviously emphasized that powders are more harmful to kidneys than testosterone.)

Most likely he doesn't know or is using some very outdated TRT protocol. One injection of enanthate every three weeks = holy freaking hell the terror, every third week you'll feel like dying lol. Dr Death
