20% body fat 2 weeks into cycle need answers
Hi I think I'm around 20% body fat. I'm 2 weeks into my first test e 500mg a week cycle. I heard that 20% bf is abit high. Should I try eat maintenance and see if my lifts continue to go up? Or doesn't it really matter if I eat in a 300 cal surplus. I don't mind gaining a little weight but not to much. TBH I really don't want to stop right now, what do you guys think?? Thanks

I think you'll be fine. From my experience Id' say eat at or slightly above maintenance. Train hard and do moderate cardio 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes. If your diet is on point you should be able to do a body recomp while on cycle.
Not sure everyone will agree but it worked for me.

Just go, train hard, eat at a small surplus or no surplus and you will still get a nice body recomp. You can add muscle and lose fat if you keep everything on point for real for real. Don't bullshit yourself.
Worked for me too, against the advice of everyone suggesting being more than 12% bf before starting a cycle. I was like 25% bf on my first cycle, ended 14 weeks later at 17% bf and added 14 pounds of lean tissue to boot! All tested thru DXA body scans...
work hard.

Well, you are already in it, would be silly to drop out... keep your eating clean and train smart and fucking hard.
Do fasted cardio in the mornings if you can.
Make sure you have everything you need and then some so you aren’t leaving yourself set up for any issues down the road.
Good luck

I’m wondering what your idea of an “on point” diet is?

20% body fat with an on point diet is an oxymoron

If you were eating clean you would be between 10-12% . 20% in my opinion is high.
I was basically eating anything when I was at 21% which made sense why I was at 21% lol

Depends on how dedicated you are. I started back after a long hiatus at about 25% or more. But knew that i could drop once i got going. I continue to drop a little fat consistently as time goes on. Just watch your bloods and your estro sides

My comment directly related to the OP's current state of body. You then said it depends on where he was along - even though he already provided that information. The example statement is irrelevant and not defensible to your arguement because you were implying his point of diet was unknown.
If you are going to take a stab at another forum member, don't embarrass yourself in the process.

The OP claims his diet is on point yet he is asking several diet questions in his first post!
OPs Physique also suggests a previous (at least) lack of an on point diet and training programme (no offence OP just saying how I see it)
I’m interested to see what he comes back withNO SOURCES GIVEN

One can cycle with any level of bf%. Just stick a needle in your body and you're running a cycle. It's advised that one's bodyfat be below 15% or so to reduce the androgenic sides that can occur with AAS. Safety is the reason for the 15% and is not set in stone.
If your diet's spot on and your training hard, you should see large gains by the end of your cycle. You'll get out of your cycle, the dedication you put into it.

It's kind of hard to lose 10% bodyfat naturally and still maintain your muscle. The op looks like he never lifted in his life in that pic. Prob has low T anyhow. I tried going down from 19% bf to 12% but I was also lifting hard and having to consume the protein and calories to sustain my workouts and recovery. With low-medium total test, I had a really hard time losing any significant weight.
I've been waiting for my gear to be delivered now for 3 weeks and I can't wait to start my body recomp, with gear. Doing it naturally is almost pointless imo. Unless I was 21. As it stands it's still at ISC NY for a week now... Grrr I wanna call them and tell them to hurry the F up!
