Thread: Legs go first?

    Legs go first?

Yea, I had to stop a cycle to start up a fertilization program to get my testes going, and just about now, 3 weeks later, my legs have essentially shrunk. I've heard this before as one ages, legs are the first to go, which is why you don't see many master competitors with huge legs, but I'm 34 lol.

What's the cause of this phenomenon

I personally have never heard of it - perhaps it's just genetics ? After my car accident the only muscle mass I kept was my wheels.

Interesting. I mean its only been a few weeks, but it seems I lost fullness, probably because I"m not overflowing with test and npp lol. But even Palumbo mentioned it when it comes to pro bodybuilders; as they age, the first thing to go are the legs.

Question: They must still have you on TRT - do they have you on HCG + Clomid?

I lose size in my arms first. Prob cause I'm pretty tall with long arms and they were the hardest to build (still nowhere near where I want them) but I think it has to do with 2 things: 1. Genetics and 2. Muscle maturity but that's anecdotal based on my own experience.

It's different for different people. Some keep their back width, some keep their legs size, it just varies. If your free T stays in a decent place, you shouldn't lose too much unless you change your lifting scheme or your diet.

    Clomid and HCG? Quite contradictory.

The doc said drop the gear and up HCG to 1250 x 2 a week.

I emailed palumbo and his protocol was as follows:

    2000 iu HCG EOD
    75iu HMG EOD
    100mg clomid

    no TRT or steroids.

    follow this until pregnant.

So I'm just gonna take dave's advice and do the clomid at 100mg (doc said 25mg) but keep the HCG at 2500iu a week as the doc said.

Not sure about fertility but with regards to legs, id say genetics. Last time i came off completely, I noticed a loss in size simultaneously throughout my body as oppose to just one area.

P.S I believe Bostin lloyd used that same fertility program and got his missed pregnant.

When I was a kid I did mostly upper body exercises like surfing, rowing, wrestling, climbing, and lifting (again mostly upper body). When I began training for body building I found that it was really tough to build my legs. Then when I get off of a cycle, my legs were first to go. I attribute this to my earlier years training mainly upper body. We develop receptors to activate the muscles that we work the most. I definitely attribute retaining leg size also to genetics. Some guys just have more receptors in their leg muscles. This is also the reason why some guys are just freaking strong even though they are not huge.

I wonder what is the biological reason to stop testosterone injections for fertility? I thought as long as you are taking HCG for the LH and clomid for the FSH, you will be able to conceive? Is there some other suppressant effect of exogenous testosterone that affects fertility?

That is what I brought up to the doc, that it makes no sense to get me off TRT to conceive if I need exogenous T. Thing is, when I began TRT 3 years ago, I never took HCG along with it. I started to take HCG about 8 months ago at 1000ius every week, which showed in studies to help with fertility, however, I think I was already shut down when I first began and thus, the HCG dosage which would SUSTAIN fertility had I began it with my TRT, was not enough.

Palumbo in his video said that its best to just get off all gear; that it should only take 3 months to get pregnant, then go back on; that its good to cycle off totally for also health reasons. What's 3 months out of your life, he says.

So I figured do that. If anything, i'll have to go back on TRT and continue taking all this. But the first time I got my wife preg, I stopped all gear and took Clomid and HCG for ONLY a month. 3 months later she was pregnant.
