    Short-Notice Blood Test

    I just received short notice that I will be required to get my blood tested in 5 days, on this coming Thursday. They will be checking total testosterone , metabolic, lipid, and CBC.

    My concern is the testosterone. I need to show between 4-800 which would be consistent with my regular TRT dosage of 120mg testosterone cypionate weekly administration.

    I have been taking 70-80mg biweekly (140-160/week). Last injection was 2 days ago, on Friday, with 80mg.

    What do you recommend between now and then to arrive within the correct reading for my test? Next injection was scheduled for tomorrow for 60mg.

    Should I skip tomorrow’s injection or will the slow ester have no impact?

    I’ve heard eating a meal beforehand lowers readings; true?

    Other ideas?

    You should not pin anything until then IF you think you're going to be high. 40-60mg higher than prescribed isn't much but in such a short time I'd say just cutting your prescription by those numbers won't help. Hope this helps.

    You should not pin anything until then IF you think you're going to be high. IF you have been taking it as prescribed then no worries just continue as prescribed. I looked at the numbers but I'd have to take my shoes off to do the math. Lol

    Don't get it, it's YOUR blood work.

    You shouldn't have to show it to anyone, maybe except your doctor.

    Accountability blood tests to the folks who run my TRT at the VA. They are pretty stringent and don’t like to see values over 900 or I’m required to adjust, re-test, etc.

    And IF I am consistently too high, they start requiring I come in weekly to have a nurse do my injections. That’s a pain-in-the-ass.... literally lol

    If you are going to have the labs run, about all you can do is skip your injection. If at all possible, reschedule. Your values might be OK skipping the next injection, but there's no guarantee.

    Why not switch to Endo or Urologist and get blood work done 1-2 times per year ?

    PCP is overseeing it with only 1-2x a year. Just scheduled it with me at last moment.
